i dont get wtf op is doing here anyways. who in their right mind can combine those two:

1. feel that a game is heading incorrectable in the wrong direction (he says the mod is almost done and sucks, standalone is not going to happen according to his 'insights'.

2. feel the need to come on the mods forum and let everyone know how he feels about it.

does that seem pathetic only to me?

whenever i quit a game because i felt it wasnt fun any more and wasnt ever going to be again, the last thing that crossed my mind was letting strangers on a forum know how i feel about it. for christs sake, get a life and a hobby dude. you are even worse then any fanboy.

OPs poor criticism comes down to people camping. a high enough logouttimer will fix this as a camper will have to leave his spot to securely logout and will therefor have to give up is camping position.

also he tried to make some points going in the direction that there was not enough encouragement to get high end gear, that the game had no direction that players are to make rules for themselves and so on.. if he feels this way i guess thats his own problem but not a reason to come on the forums and rant about it. i see all those points mentioned as hughe PRO and not a con. to me dayz is a hardcore pvp game much like ultima online was back in the glorious days. you did not need high end gear at those days. there was no 'end game' in the sense of todays games.

I took a small break from this mod, not because its bad but at the moment the playerbase is a little sad.I recently witnessed an unarmed man walk around in one of the coastal towns. He Saw a guy with a makarov and asked "hey kinda new how do you find weapons" to which the armed man said "you dont, u just die lol" and killed him

What about the development time is slow?

Patches in minecraft say used to come out every few months. We see brand new versions out every week or so, and hotfixes most days of the week.

I think you're forgetting that this is a MOD, and that's all it is. When has a mod ever gone through a development process this fast? Never. DayZ isn't a game, and don't you forget it.

I'm sure rocket would love to be adding new content to the game, but I for one would be quite angry if he started unloading new content on us while zombies still aggro'd from 200m away, atv's were still flipping and killing people, everyone with camo were losing their shit, etc etc. Let Rocket fix the the problems with the mod right now before he moves onto more content.
