It's likely been done to death, however I'll always agree that PvP is important and if this game was to nerf it drastically then i highly doubt it'd be as popular as it is now.

Pretty sure most people care just about kills, countless times I found a heavily armed player that got smacked by a zombie and got broken legs

Gone to help while totally unarmed and got killed only to come back and find they got eaten and I've taken all their high end stuff when they could have accepted morphine and a bloodbag

And if I ask them what the point was they just say dayz

I saw a guy once crash a car in electro and I heard his legs break

He had a gilli and an AS50 and I had a MP5SD, I told him I was gonna shoot the zombies which I did while he was bandaging

I was killing them silently

As soon as he's done I get an AS50 round in the face, then as I'm fading out I see him get mauled seconds later as they Agro to his shot at me

Spawned back in electro and took all his stuff, shot him when he arrived for it later for being a moron

So there I was in a hero skin protecting him from certain death and he got us both killed and lost everything

Point is people don't give a shit, I've seen this a lot of times where I've patched someone up while unconscious and had them shoot me when they wake up only to see them die seconds later

So I don't agree with showing them your not a pvp person as they usually see this as an easy target or just shoot you just to get a kill

The post above pretty much sums it all up. I have no problem at all with PvP, it gets my heart racing like nothing else. But there is a difference between PvP and then plain, stupid shoot on sight.

PvP is two groups encountering each other, going tooth and nail, flanking each other left, right, front, and center. Then you get the idiots who will shoot a fresh spawn for nothing more than some painkillers.. Which they don't even take.

This thread is very mis-leading as it misses the point as to why people actually do get so annoyed about this subject. It's not the PvP that annoys people and causes them to whine. It's the idiots that treat this game like a deathmatch, and will shoot anything no matter what, no 'logical' thinking to it.

The title should be "PvP Will Always Be in the Game, And So Will KoS Players". Theres a difference. As I said, I actually fail to see a legit reason as to why the mod should continue to be developed alongside the SA. What more does it have to offer? It's a Mod, theres limit to what you can do. They have patched zombies multiple times, but they are still a non-factor, Chernarus can not really be developed much more, to me it feels like the mod has reached its ceiling. Continue developing a 225km2 Free-for-All against what will ultimatly me the much more popular and much more challenging SA. Just seems pointless to me..
