Add lens flare to sniper scopes

Sniper scopes should have lens flare to help keep them balanced, only when facing the sun though (although it would be a hard feature to implement well). Maybe even on just the lower grade snipers CZ550 that are for civilian use.

Lens flare in near inexistant in modern day rifle scopes, you'd have a job finding it at 5m let alone 500m

That's not taking into consideration things lile lens caps, skrim netting etc that many snipers would put over the lens to distort it further

No. I know in BF3 they were trying to tone down the amount of "Bush Wookies" from BF:BC2, but they dropped the ball on that and made snipers almost a laughing stock, their only plus being the rifle they carry on such large maps.

Anyhow, lens flare should not be ingame. Infact, if you want to kill snipers, travel in groups with friends. Spread out and don't all bunch up and when a sniper drops one of you, your group can easily track them down and kill them. It's actually very simple, you just need experience. And this isn't WW2, there is no lens flare. And I'm happy I don't have to see it in underground subway tunnels any longer...

(Sometimes I couldn't tell the difference in a flashlight at long range and a sniper's len flare. Either way, it helps get counter-sniping going and nets you easy headshots)

What do we call lens flare here exactly? The sun rays some games have (which is a camera lens flare) or the glint that you can see in BF3 when a sniper aim directly at you?

No, to add to the realism I believe. CZ's are merely hunting rifles so they wouldnt have the protection a military sniper would use on, let's say, an M107.

But still, this idea is crap.
