  1. Thoroughly enjoyed playing on the server yesterday. I had played on a couple different SG maps and never had any issue. In fact the Celle Admin (Manatee Hunter) had actually mentioned remembering my clan and having some awesome shootouts on the Panthera map they used to have. Figure this would be a good place to call home for a Celle character. It disappoints me to not recommend this server since I had so much fun playing the day before, but Admin does nothing about hackusations, even though he can check logs and had played with me and my clan before, then begins to partake in it himself. Admin has all the tools in the world to help him spot and ban a cheater, yet he resorts to blind accusations. It is really unprofessional to allow crap like that but, whatever, it is his server so he can do what he wants. If you decide to play there I hope you have a good time, but don't be surprised if you find a bunch of whining in side chat and other players (admin included) think you're a hacker because you find a gun and decide to shoot people with it. TL;DR Server is full of immature brats, admin will allow hackusations and partake in it himself, don't be surprised if you get banned
  2. Not sure what game you have been playing, but I've killed tons of people flipping a barracks or camping well known loot spots. This game is very much gear driven. One shot from a Makarov will not kill you, but one from an AS50 will. The gear fetish you say doesn't exist is actually what drives most of the PvP in this game. I really don't think you could possibly be more wrong.

What will happen to Dayz Mod?

It is in the sellers best interest to have as little competition as possible. The DayZ mod will be direct competition once standalone is released. Like it or not, this mod needs to die. And until it is entirely different it will be direct competition against the standalone. It needs to go.

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

Yeah I had seen that. It is disappointing. I think the map would have done really well and it would have been great to see this get a lot of public attention. It's a shame, and hopefully the OP will change his mind soon. I really disagree with him thinking DayZ will continue to do well once standalone is released. A lot of the Arma population doesn't really care for the mod and people are pretty anxious to play the stand alone. I find it hard to believe that DayZ will continue to be successful.

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

You have been playing the map since release. So you did not make it nor do you have any idea what the OP is doing. Thank you for proving my point. You don't know shit, which is evident in your last reply. You have "been playing since release". Well holy shit we have an expert on our hands now with a whole 26 days worth of knowledge about the map. We should tell the DayZ devs to create a section on their forums dedicated to your vast knowledge of this map so they can provide us a place to learn all the valuable knowledge contained in your pea sized brain. I don't need to PM the OP, he created this topic so I am responding to it. Nobody cares what I think? I'm asking the OP a question. The only facts I have stated are you don't know crap, and you are acting like a douche. Both are true. You have not given me any help at all in this topic, and you have no business telling me what I need to appreciate, especially when it is a person who is directing homophobic insults at others because they are too immature to just keep their mouth shut, and get upset when someone tell's them to be quiet. Once again, you are not the OP, so if you are going to reply like a douche, do it somewhere else. I am asking the OP a reasonable question, and you are being an ass for no reason whatsoever. This question was, again, directed at the OP, not you. You are completely clueless as to what the OP is doing. Reading things put out by the people who create, edit, and modify the map, is completely different from creating, editing, and modifying the map. If you can't understand that I'm sorry but that isn't my problem. You are acting your age and it is embarrassing. Grow up kid. @Gragan - The reason I posted this reply was because of that link. It was edited 4 days ago so I was hoping the OP might have some more information about this coming to DayZ Commander. Thank you for your useful reply. @Nex - If you were so "up to date" on everything related to this map, why didn't you mention the OP has quit working on the project?

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

I did use google genious. And it brought me to this thread. Please speak when being spoken to. As I said before, if you aren't in charge of releasing the files, you shouldn't be commenting. So why do you continue to talk when nobody is talking to you? You have zero knowledge as to what the OP is doing, so please stop acting like an attention craving child and move on to another thread. The post I made is directed at the OP, which you are not. You cannot speak for the OP, you don't know what he is thinking or doing. You have no insight to what is actually going on with this map, so your comments are pointless. If the OP doesn't want to reply to this thread, I'm ok with that. I don't need you to try and tell me what the OP is going to do. Let him speak or not speak for himself.

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

That was a couple weeks ago. I was hoping for an update. Try to not be a giant fucking douchebag who thinks hes the king of the internet. If you aren't in charge of releasing the files then you shouldn't even be commenting.

New Map - DayzTaviana is released!

Any word on getting this into Commander? Would be great to see a private hive pick this up.
  11. This leads me back to my point. There is no reason to cover them. There is also no reason to scavenge. As I said, you only need a makerov to kill zombies.
  12. You realize this is a first person shooter. You are supposed to shoot other people. I don't understand why people would enjoy this. You are removing one of the key elements of the game. This is no different from someone completely removing zombies on a server. It kills a main element of the game. You won't ever die. You know everyone will be friendly to you so you have no fear of doing anything. What is the point? Collecting stuff? For what? What is the point of finding gear if you will never use it. If you are only going to kill zombies you need nothing more than a makerov. If this is something that you enjoy doing on a regular basis, you really don't belong in the DayZ community. You are better off picking up l4d. It is your server and you can do what ya want, but honestly I hope it fails. The reasons you list for making a server like this are some of the most fun aspects of the game. Jumping on a brand new map and not having a clue where you are or what is around you is one of the most unique aspects DayZ has. If you want a social experience, get on facebook. If you want to learn the map, go to dayzdb. I would be really sad if new people to DayZ found your server first. They would miss out on all of the fun elements of the game, and when they joined a real server, they would be pissed that people weren't playing the way they learned on your server. Making bases and developing a friendly crowd is the only endgame content DayZ has. You are basically skipping all the fun parts of the game and going right to the last level. Like I said, it is your server and you can do what you want. I hope you have fun when you play on it.

    DayZ: Namalsk

You don't understand what I am saying. If you spawn in the southern most areas of the map, you literally have to run straight to Vorkuta or you will die. You cannot stop and loot things. You cannot meet up with other people. You cannot do anything but go to the only town that has any decent chance of food spawning there. That is not fun, has nothing to do with the "DayZ experience", and can be fixed. BTW, your deathmatching comment is rather amusing. This is a god damn first person shooter. If that isn't your kind of thing, perhaps you should go play the Sims. Look at the on the first page. Take a look at what it says at 45 seconds. Aside from that, my comment is directly related to what you call "deathmatching".Don't you see? If it is impossible for me to find food, I am left with no other option but to shoot every person I come across so I will not die. Once everyone gets used to the map, the food supply will diminish even further, increasing KoS, something you say people should look elsewhere for. Try thinking before you post. It only hurts the first time, then you start to get used to it.

It is not possible to run from the southern spawns to vorkuta. Your "theoretically" happens on near empty servers. If there are 30 or more on a server, you cannot just freely sprint from the bottom to the top of the map, especially with the way the temperature system works right now. Stopping in Obj A2 is a death sentence, and going anywhere else means you have to spend extra time searching for heatpacks or just taking shelter. I am all for harsh, but once everybody figures out the map, as you suggest, it will be even harder to find food, not the other way around. The problem isn't that the system isn't realistic in terms of realism, it isn't realistic in terms of asking players to do it and succeed especially when everyone starts to figure out the map. I don't enjoy running for 30 minutes just to get some food so I can actually start to play the game. @OP - Is it possible to include antibiotics with the military and residential spawns in addition to the hospitals? Military bases have infirmaries, and people usually have medicine in their houses. As it is right now, once you get sick, you are better off dropping your gear under a tree and dying as opposed to trekking an hour to the hospital and not finding any antibiotics there. If they were made a little more common, it would allow you to keep the cold system the way it currently is, which would still force people away from the military spawns in the mountains. As I said before, as much as I like new skins, I would still like to see the warm clothes go, and possibly have a winter camo and winter ghillie added to the loot table. People being unable to camp the mountain bases is one of the greatest features of this map. Again, keep up the good work.

Love the map. Got me back into the mod. I would suggest NOT changing the matches spawn rate. It aids in forcing people north. I would instead place burning barrels throughout the southern areas of the map. As someone said before, the animal spawn rate is a bit low. It doesn't need to be tripled or anything, but it should probably be increased a little bit. Every time I have gutted a boar, I am told there is 4 meat on the carcass, but am unable to loot the meat. This also happened once for a sheep, but it became available after waiting a couple minutes. I would almost rather the Warm Clothing be removed from the game. It is nice that people cannot camp up in the mountains, and players not wearing it are more likely to have an increase in interacting with other players. I will say, it is nice to see a different skin being put into the game. Speaking of skins... The camo clothing and ghillie suit should offer a reduced visual picture against zombies. Maybe camo reduces it by 1 and ghillie by 2. Not sure if that is possible to change, but it would be a nice touch up. Warm clothing also does not stay upon logging out. You revert back to civilian clothes. I have noticed I have been unable to interact with a couple deerstands (climbing up the ladder). Only one that I distinctly remember was east of sebjan mine. Every server I have played on so far has one giant problem. Every time somebody dies, they get kicked by battleye (MPeventhandler restriction #36). It is pretty annoying, plus I'm sure it isn't that great for the servers with people logging in and out over and over again. Kinda wish there was more use of certain areas within the map. (ex. out by the hospitals) Making people run for two hours to get to the hospital isn't very fun. Like I said before, great map. Am much more immersed in this map over any of the others. Keep up the good work! :D
