The only people I help are obvious noobs on the coast. Not respawn noobs. Actual noobs that think crawling down the middle of a street is a good idea. Lately I've been dropping a hatchet, a can of food, and drink for them and then telling them to keep their distance or else. If they follow me or get too close with that hatchet, they're getting shot in the leg.

We can be helpful and friendly if we're smart about it.

Being smart...not very common for people...shooting mindlessly now THAT is something people can get behind...sad truth of people.

Clans are over obsessed. I casually play the game, im not a clan that plays non stop. And yes, i admit i made a mistake. But just having found a helicopter crash and finding another one with people running away and dying, i felt like i could gain a few friends by helping

Not all clans are like that. There are plenty of casual clans and you can learn all sorts of useful tips and tricks from them. Some clans are even dedicated to helping new players.

I see why you did what you did now but we as a community need to establish some self imposed rules about these situations. Using direct chat isn't working as anyone can say they're friendly. We could also start lowering our weapons. There is a key for that and if people would stop pointing guns at strangers I think some of the killing will stop. When two people meet their instinct is to look in the other players direction which points a gun as well. Both are extremely alert and any unexpected movement is going to result in a trigger pull.

I just wouldn't approach a group like that even if they lowered their guns, said they were friendly, did the friendly dance, and offered me supplies. Large groups are much less likely to be friendly than a loner.

It would probably be a real shit fest. The hilarious thing though, is that it would breed out aggression. The badass hard motherfucker with the biggest gun is the one most likely to take a bullet to the brain pan. The meek, those who stay away from conflict, from everyone really, would inherent the earth. And then everything would start all over again.

Funny thing i actually had parts for a helicopter (minus the engine part. I had the scrap metal and the rotors)

If there were no laws and police IRL it would be nightmare. People have to have enforced rules. Thats who we are. You dont murder or rob poeple IRL because there consequences. OK I would not kill IRL too, but other things - who knows. So in the mod, thats just a stupid PC game, where there are no rules and consequences and punishment.

WHY THE HELL would I NOT kill people for lulz if I WANT to ? Can you not allow me to ? No. So deal with it. And again - not my fault this kind of behavior isnt punished.
