The revolver is better then the 1911:

it has one round less, but it has 100 meters effective range, the 1911 only 50 meters, also you can convert 1911clips in revolver speedloaders and vice versa.

i like the PDW becouse mutch mags und its SD when u load it with SD ammunition ......... and the 1911 i like too :) revolver is good for PvP shoot to the legs then hebrake his lag

M1911 kills pretty easily and I've found .45 acp rounds everywhere. I have only found it once, in Cherno.

It's not suppressed. In Arma 2, there is a suppressed version, but in DayZ, it's the normal one.

Colt .45 is vastly superior to every other pistol in the game. I hope it gets nerfed so this isn't the case. It even out performs most primary weapons against zombies and has virtually unlimited ammo. pretty ridiculous.

1911/Silenced M9 depending on the situation. For player killing purposes? 1911 all the way. For getting around quietly and dealing with zeds? Silenced M9 if you can aim/get headshots.

1st: G17. If you expect to play nighttime servers, having the flashlight/pistol combo is amazing! Aim carefully and headshot are still 1 shot kills. Overall fairly quiet as well, so you wno't aggro the entire town killing 1 zed..

2nd: M1911 for stopping power and availability of ammo

Personally I see more strengths in the revolver:

1) much more accurate, accurate even up to 100m while the m1911 can barely manage 25m

2) much better iron sights

1) 1 less bullet.

I am RARELY caught without my trusty 1911.

The 1911 is literally the first thing I look for, and even if I have every other single piece of kit, I am still looking for a 1911.

I am trying out an M9SD on my main right now and I do not like it very much. Might have to go 1911/L85/MP5SD just so I have a zombie gun (silenced gun). I do not want to give up my 45.
