Zombie 1shotting?

Hi,

Ive been playing Dayz for a while now & just now I apparantly got 1shot by a Zombie.

I was in Mogilevka checking the houses for a camo/ghillie when I aggrod 2 zombies.

I swapped from my CZ550 to my M9SD, a zombie hit me once, nothing happened, I took a few steps back, ADS'd on my M9SD & the second I do that, my character instadies.

I was at full health, etc.. and I instantly passed out+broken bone+panic+bleed and 1second later I die.

The only thing I can think off is that I got sniped, but I didn't hear any shot go off & it seems kinda fishy that when the zombie first hit me nothing happened & then after I short delay I get everything.

Zombies have a super ultra low chance to completely 100% kill you in a single shot even at full health. That chance increases significantly when you are under 10k blood as well but is still very uncommon.

EDIT:: Although re reading your post again it does sound more like you were sniped. Did you simply die, or did you blood go BELOW 0 blood?

Were you on any objects like a rock or something?

I have walked off a rock dropped less then half a foot and got the Bleed/bone/panic combo.

If you were in a house maybe you accidentally closed a door on yourself. Beware infected doors

Wasn't in a house or on any object.

I don't believe I got sniped either since I'm pretty sure I'd here a shot go off.

Atleast every time I've died to a sniper in the past I've always heared a shot go off. It was a lowpop server aswell. I doubt there are many ppl on lowpop servers scavenging mogilevka. Let alone people sniping there.

Didn't get to check if i went below 0 blood, since I kinda panic'd and was like "wtf?"

It was:

Swap from CZ550 to M9SD-> 1 of the zombies hits me-> nothing happens-> backpedal a few steps->aim down sight-> pass out+broken bone+bleed+panic-> me going ???? irl -> "you are dead"

Whenever a zombie hits me there is always a short delay to whatever effect the hit has on me. The only experience that I've ever had that resembles yours is an encounter I had with a hacker who just outright killed me. It could have been that. Did you notice a bunch of deaths on the server?

I've seen Zed's get things like that before, once so far I got shoved over by a Zed and instantly fell unconscious. They then feasted on my body and I died after a few minutes.

Was quite a shock as I've never seen one push a Survivor over before or since!

Nope, I was the only one who died as far as I noticed.
