Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted July 14, 2012 This is the testing part. It's Alpha testing. How about you come back when you've spent some money and the games finished.P.S - THIS IS ALPHA TESTING.
semipr0 402 Posted July 14, 2012 Uh...haven't had that problem....had a nice train of zeds trying to chew my ass off coming out of Krasnostav awhile ago. Took me awhile to shake them...cause I hate wasting ammo on Zeds when there are plenty of bandits to shoot back at.Found a M4A1 and several STANAG clips in a deer stand, which was a far nicer loot than I've seen in a deerstand in the last version.I'm playing on 1.7.2.3 servers too, so not sure whats happening with your situation. pvt_ammo@hotmail.com 164 Posted July 14, 2012 I've noticed some servers the zeds aren't nearly as responsive as others. I could run right up behind zeds in one server.
TheMachine 803 Posted July 14, 2012 Sometimes zeds chase you, when they feel like it.I'm really starting to wonder if rocket knows what he's doing, since every update is buggier than the last.Alpha testing blah blah.Yeah, even in alpha stuff normally gets better instead of worse. adamtheheretic 106 Posted July 14, 2012 I had a similar experience, much less loot spawning... Needless to say I hope it's intentional and permanent. The zombies have been the same though, maybe a little lenient on sound barely hearing my crouch run when I'm pretty close but other than that they seem the same. Buy Unity2.) Do it better.3.) Secure Trademark and Copyright claims4.) ?????5.) ProfitOr....just deal with it, its an alpha, not a game you paid for, or you pay for monthly to play. Rocket's done pretty damn well, all things considered. I've seen professionally developed products release rougher than this.
TheMachine 803 Posted July 14, 2012 If I had a dollar for every time a brown nosing lackey said 'this is an alpha, shut up' to any criticism of the game whatsoever, I'd be a very rich man.
ZedsDeadBaby 2287 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Alpha testing blah blah.Yeah, even in alpha stuff normally gets better instead of worse.Actually, no. That's not true. It often gets worse and better in fits and starts as new features come online and old ones are tweaked and changed.Just keep bitching about it, though. The more ridiculous verbal diarrhea you spew out of that shit-chute you call a mouth, the easier it will be to determine precisely to what degree your mental deficiency effects your ability to formulate rational human thoughts. Then we can all watch out in the future. Edited July 14, 2012 by ZedsDeadBaby
monkeysphere 1 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Haven't had a problem with loot spawning; I looted most of Berezino just fine. However I experienced frozen zombies for the first time: the whole town was full of zeds standing/crouching/lying still.I did cause my own zombie spawns that acted normally, aggroed etc. Edited July 14, 2012 by monkeysphere

I'm sure your expert coding skills will be highly appreciated. If you can't free up space in your undoubtedly busy schedual then its probably pretty pointless to complain about things. This is an open alpha after which there will most likely be a beta and after the beta comes the finnished game !

Dekey (DayZ) 31 Posted July 14, 2012 1.7.2.3.Zombies aren't attacking anyone, loot aint spawning.Shit is borked. How about some testing before patches are deployed?Do you have a debug menu? If not you need to update your ARMA files. The only time i've walked around with no agro nor loot was when I also had no debug menu.

MissBehave 37 Posted July 14, 2012 It seems the zombie spawns are about 20% of what they were at best and the zombies are dumb as hell. I can pretty much walk right up behind it and cap it in the dome. No challenge here.I really liked the zombies before the patch. Lots of waves and very reactive and beat you up. Please go back to that.

Zombie vision seems to be hyper sensitive now, agroing from much further out than before.Yeah I'm still belly crawling myself if I don't and I'm in any town or city I'm immediately trailing every zombie in the immediate vicinity. Perhaps its a difference in AI settings on different servers?
MissBehave 37 Posted July 14, 2012 Zombie spawning seems very slow and zombies are fewer and unresponsive so far on the servers I have been on. I have the updated beta and patch from today. Ping is very low as well. Here is a picture.. how many time have you been able to walk up behind one of these zombies and shoot them from this range?

Here is a picture.. how many time have you been able to walk up behind one of these zombies and shoot them from this range?Never....and definitely not today.But...it might be that they tweaked zed detection AI and nullified the sensor range at 180 degrees on some AI difficulty settings?Sensor detection at 180 degrees for all zed AI should be low....but thats definitely way too low.
