Oh man i have got 2gb memory graphic card and I play on low, this is not fair! :(

BTW, how did you tweak it? :)

The memory isn't all that it needs, my GTX 560 Ti has 1Gb and still plays at around 60 fps on high. :P

Got this laptop for uni and was so happy when I found out it could run ARMA II

Processor - Intel Intel Core i7 3612QM - 2.1 GHz

RAM - 8 GB

Hard Drive - 1 TB

Optical Drive - Blu-Ray Combo

Graphics - Intel,NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M

Graphics Memory - 2048 Mb

It's £724.97 but you get £100 cash back. Got myself a case, wireless mouse and headset with it just over £800. Once I get my cash back it'll be just over £700 I paid for the whole lot, great deal imo. B)

Playing it on an M17x R3 (which i have manually modified/upgraded):

i7 2860QM Quad

16gb DDR3 1600Mhz

7970M 2GB - overclocked to 1000/1400

Installed on 500gb SSD at 550mb/s read 500mb/s write

60 FPS (with vsync on) in every single situation. It never drops.

To the clueless people recommending not to play on a laptop... I suppose you haven't tried a gaming laptop?

They can't afford one. (Gaming Laptop) They is no way I'm playing on a wal-mart/target laptop. I want 60+FPS with good graphics. I play on a Dell E6430 and plays just fine. (everything on normal @1366x768 max res) 2 Other guys I game with play on ASUS G74 and G75 gaming laptops.

I only use the Laptop when I travel. I do play on a desktop 90% of the time.

I am strongly considering getting this game this weekend, I just want to be sure my set-up can handle it properly.

Intel i5 2.4GHz

ATI Radeon 5650 1G

4G ram

Roughly 300GB of space left on my HDD

I would love it if someone could give me an honest response as to whether or not my system will be able to handle this game, and if so, will I be able to hold 30+ FPS?

Side note: When I ran the test at systemrequirementslab.com I was sitting about half way in between minimum and recommended.

I'll chime in late to this one, as I've usually been playing on my main desktop PC, but we've had a new carpet put down and its out of action until I sort out my office... so we're on the laptop at the moment, and running in Very High settings... The machine is a custom built machine from "PCSpecialist"...

Core i7-2670QM (8 cores @ 2.2ghz)

8GB DDR3 RAM

nVidia 540GT Mobile 2GB DDR3

My laptop barely runs dayz so this may be a good "bottom of the barrel" benchmark.

I've got a $400 laptop. Asus Aspire. 2.2GHz i3 processor. Intel HD 3000 Integrated graphics. 4 gigs ram.

I have to nuke all the graphical settings and use a cooling pad. I also defragment my HDD every week or more and do a registry cleanup.

I wouldn't recommend buying a laptop like mine if your intention is to play dayz. But it is possible.

Pop here, http://www.arma2.com/free, get the game... try it... on many settings... Remembering in your mind that DayZ takes a little more umpf to run....

So, if you can run Arma2 free at High, expect DayZ normal... etc... down the scale...

But, looking at your spec, it should run!

I-7 3610QM 2.3GHz

NVidia GTX 660M

8 gigs Ram

17' screen 1980x1080

A mix of very high and turned off features. I get 30-40 FPS and really thats fine with me.

Screen is a little small for picking out peeps at long distance but I deal with it.
