Shard (DayZ) 24 Posted July 13, 2012 Ever since the update, I've been hearing a lot of negative feedback from the users, zombies detect from too far away, screen is black. And I also heard that the update is not supposed to be released for the public.Can anyone confirm or disprove these problems?I just want to be certain that I am logging into dayz (when a spot opens up) safely and that I won't be killed by a bunch of bugs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Skint (DayZ) 138 Posted July 13, 2012 If you want to be safe, stay on 1.7.1.5.1.7.2 works and my character and gear survived the switch, but it cannot be guaranteed (I saved most my gear and went in light just in case). I've switched between 1.7.1.5 and 1.7.2 several times today OK.The zeds are hyper sensitive though, so avoid them like a bad smell. I aggroed them in dark, prone, still, 50m away and they weren't even looking at me! Zed's won't be fixed until 1.7.2.2. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sixbarns 217 Posted July 13, 2012 Black screen happened to me. Turned out I wasn't completely updated and I when I was updated I was trying to join servers that were not 100% up to date. phillip.p.abbott@gmail.com 2 Posted July 13, 2012 There's been speak of losing your character in the update that was bugged also, seeing as I've only had the game a couple days I'm not entirely sure how the devs work with Six Launcher and the consequences.Is it best to not log until all this blows over say tomorrow?
