True that it gets old seeing the same threads everywhere, but I also get tired of seeing this kind of reply in all of those same threads also.

No one really cares whether or not you care about the OP quitting or not quitting.

Why don't you take your own advice and stop getting so "butthurt" about seeing these threads. If you actually don't reply to these kinds of threads, it would actually die out on its own once it gets off the first page of the forum, you know. You're just helping them bump and keep it on the first page by stating the obvious that everyone else already knows as well.

Think again, they are so many things wrong with DayZ that have been around for a pretty damn long time

They are not things that have just started to become apparent.

*When people die, there is a good chance that their body will fall over, and disappear MAGIC

*Animals disappear almost immediately after the meat is taken from their corpse

*Flies linger around where dead bodies were at for VERY extended amounts of time

*This f*cking forums is buggy, I press backspace and it goes back an entire line -_-

*Bags and axes are FAR too common

*More recently (few weeks?) Loot will not even spawn in, there will literally be nothing, no tin cans, nothing

*High power weapons are EASY to come by... I find more revolvers and 1911's than makarovs

*How-to-fix-alt+f4-ers: when a player is withing ~20-50m of another player, their body will stay on the server for 30+ seconds FIXED THERE YOU GO

I can go on and on :/

most of those are considered minor issues or minor balance concerns to anyone with a brain, im glad they dont bother with such trival things when theres actual game breaking bugs around.

some missing loot on rare occasions on a select few servers and cowards is hardly what i would call important, what i would call important is teleporting players, people not even to able to play,hackers who almost made the game die/quit development. thats an example of something important, what your moaning about is trollnoob items which are on a PRIOITY list

I do not understand these kinds of threads - we are testing an alpha version of a mod on a beta version release of a game that is three years old and riddled with glitches and bugs.

So its not "only" Alpha, its Alpha on Beta release on prone-to-glitches 3 year old game.

Anyone who expects this to be playable like a AAA standalone game release is daft, sorry to be so bland about it.

Anyone who did not inform himself what he is spending his money on and just blindly followed the herd is at his own fault.

I don't think "fixing hackers" is just BattleEye's job. BattleEye's job is enforcment. The problem right now is that it's just too easy to hack and/or exploit. There needs to be more controls in place in the game itself. I'm kind of surprised that it's not easy to limit or control the way scripts are injected into the mod. Just that would eliminate most of the problems, but if it was easy they would have fixed it by now.

As for the OP...if you purchase a retail game to play a free mod in Alpha or even Beta stage, you're doing so at your own risk. If you end up being unhappy with that purchase it was simply a poor choice on your part.

1-Never seen it so it can't be that good of a chance.

2-Uh, you just took all the meat off it's body. Do you think it's going to sit there and look normal? Do you know what happens to an animal when you butcher it? Also, you already took the meat (again in case you missed it). Why does it matter if it stays around?

3-Again, how is this major instead of mildly annoying?

Were you that fooled? Do you really feel that taken advantage of? This game has been getting lots of press, word of mouth has spread this game not Steam. I just went on Steam and clicked on ArmA2, you know what I saw? Absolutely nothing about DayZ.

Actually sounds like you aren't very good at this game.

1. You hear 3 gunshots, and you can't seem to tell they didn't emanate from your friend. You then proceed to look at his body and you see the smoke/dust from the bullets freshly impacting around him and you then think he shot those bullets. Then instead of asking to make sure, you pretend you know what happened so you aren't even aware that danger is nearby.

2. You can't seem to differentiate between your own dead body and a living person. You were less than 1 m from that body and still couldn't tell if he was alive or not. You checked the contents of your own previous pack and can't realize that the items are exactly the same. As if the position of the dead body (where you died) wasn't enough to let you know that it was your own body, you had to do all of the above and throw a grenade at a your own dead body to realize that it was in fact your dead body.

Yes there are bugs, too bad. However, I have never experienced any of those bugs that you have mentioned so I find it hard to believe and relate to your story. Back in the old days I could loot my body from a day before if the server hasn't restarted so my skepticism prevents me from sympathizing with your story of failing multiple times to kill a bandit. And are you sure you didn't injure yourself as you threw that grenade causing shock which caused you to rejoin as unconscious? That is a feature, not a bug btw. The more I look into your story, the more it seems your own incompetence is the cause of your failures than the bugs that plague Arma2.
