Remember that you will most likely have to buy the game again if it ever leaves Alpha.

It's not that the game is well done- because it's not. It's that it's so different.

It's going to be in "Alpha" for a looong time. It gives an excuse to work slow and make bad patches. Limitation this, limitation that. Stop working on this one then and get going on the standalone. Revert Day-Z to patch 1.7.1.5 where for the most part things were good. Tweak the Zeds after and leave it at that by releasing 1.7.1.6. Then stop messing with things other than easy stuff like adding weapons.

http://dayzdb.com/map Find a town, check one of the signs. It will be in russian. Compare that russian word to the russian words on the map. If you find a road or rails near the beach, look away from the beach and then walk right on the road. Stay off the road though and in the treeline. More likely than not you're going to spawn on the southern portion of the map, so that way you at least are not going to walk into oblivion(aka the edge of the world on the left).
