piemanpm 13 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) I did think this also, but there's no comments from Rocket / Mods about weather or not it's actually been removed. There's reports of people are still finding it at crash sites, which makes me wonder if it's just a inventory bug, and it wasn't meant to be removed at all. species5021 28 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Ive found it twice in crash sites since the patch, but it has been disabled. The guns inventory text has been made invisible and looks like a blank line of text with a 1 on the left of it. The only thing stating its the weapon in question is when you hover over it and it asks if you want to exchange your current weapon for the L85A2 AWS.I would love an official response to this on the forum so i can edit the wiki and link over the stated its out of the game quote. piemanpm 13 Posted July 12, 2012 Well i haven't loaded in since 7.1.5 as the server I usually play on is having problems. So I'm hoping I've still got it when I load in when 1.7.2.1 goes live. With the update there was a side effect regarding some weapons/items of which we knew they were going to disappear. This statement transformed in the item being removed by some people. Baltimore 6 Posted July 12, 2012 Overpowered or not, I don't think it should be removed if that's going to be the final decision. There will always be something in any-game that is more powerful or tactically better then other piece of gear or weaponry, every game has an overpowered item that only some people have, you're never going to be the best person with the best gear etc.. unless you are then you're very lucky or whatever. I think if anything should be changed, just make it even more rare, like super super rare.. everyone dies or loses their stuff eventually whether it be by a player or bug so.Obviously the item duping would still be a problem but that is a problem that would need to be addressed asap as well. I just don't get all these people whining and crying about how overpowered it is, they need to be remember that not every game is "balanced" for everyone.. nothing is meant to be 100% fair and equal. Also this is a free mod, so no you're not a paying customer ;)ALL the weapons out of the game are glitches because I cut too deep with the classname removals.This will be fixed for future hotfix in the week.
