Possible reset for 1.7.2

Does anyone know if they are going to reset all of our characters? The patch seems to be working fine right now, but im not sure if they will do it later for stability, i have a PERFECT character right now and i really really don't want to lose it over a damn patch.

Well if you play 24/7 none-stop then no it's not but i play periodically and im more of a collector, i like the loot i find and i think its really dumb when you always have to except a reset and poof all gone searched for nothing.

The devs don't seem to do resets on update at all for some reason.

Wish they would with some changes as it would make sense to have major changes tested by having everyone on a level playing field, but i can see that the fact this place will be hit with an even bigger shitstorm of crying might be on reason they don't reset.

That makes no sense, just let people who are already geared up test it, in fact they would be a better at testing it because they're already geared up enough to go wherever the hell they want, it would take nearly twice as long for a newly spawned player to test anything, unless it was something that didn't have to do with items or locations.

Why do I alway hear that "Don't get attached to your gear" mantra? I love my gear and I get attached to it. Maybe you woud suggest me to not get attached to GF too? I'm fucking loving it and I don't want to lose it. Both former and latter.

If you're not supposed to get attached to your equipment, then what's the point of playing? There's no further incentive to play if you seriously don't care about the loot you worked to get. Just completely destroys all need to further play the game... I like to get attached to my gear as it gives me a reason to stay alive.

There's nothing to test, in this patch they added a bear trap, WOOPTY FUCKIN DOO. People will just watch videos of shit like that. I still think resets suck

Zombie survival sandbox currently without endgame...

The fun is in the risk of losing everything... for me. Couldnt care less about the gear because my goals dont require high grade gear to succeed(Killed a ghillie suited sniper near NW who had an L85A2 AWS and a BAF AS50 with a hatchet(dropped my enfield and ran around him shortly after he fired at a different survivor and drew the horde... I pretended to be a Zed :D))

Shortly after acquiring that L85A2 AWS I kept running into stashes/players/helo crashes with em. Have lost over 6 now and still had one left but seeing as they are disabled now i guess ill go back to my hatchet:D

Dont get attached to your gear... its a line that has to do with the fact that if you like high risk situations, you will get fcked at some point. For some of us high risk is entering NW alone armed to the teeth with a hatchet, hunting knife and a bicycle on a 50/50 server.

For you its prolly raiding a barn with a M249 but thats cool!

You are entitled to play your own way and love your gear but you will lose it and you will rage... and you will quit... and you will be back.

I would love it if you could do so without creating pointless topics like this though and keep it to yourself.

You shouldn't get attached to your gear because all characters will be reset at some point. It isn't going to go from alpha to beta to release without it happening.

This thread was originally to ask the community if they knew if there was going to be a reset, now it has turned into a giant pile of "fuck your way of playing mines better GG", i didnt want it to turn into this but now it is so people FIRE AWAY, this late into the patch ive already got my answer anyways.
