This person needs to have their server removed asap, and have his account banned from the hive. I never thought I would see an admin go against what DayZ stands for so easily. Spawning weapons for 2 idiots just for a video bashing DayZ was very childish and traitorous to be honest. This person does not deserve to be apart of the community

Its a mod privet servers are allowed i have one!

The privet servers are not a part of the hive and all you do on the privet server is saved only on the privet server not on the hive server so its not a problem!

I use the privet server for training and to plan strategy with my clan!

Okay, several problems with this entire thread. First off, of course they made a private server. If they didn't then people like the OP would go on and start spaming about how they are "bad players" or "deserve to be banned". In addition, unless I missed something, how were they "bashing" DayZ? Everything I've seen from the videos has been very positive. Also, the only reason that they spawned in things was so that they didn't have to spend an hour finding supplies, which no one would want to watch. Finally, how do you know that they hacked in anything? More likely, they simply spent some time beforehand to collect supplies, so that they don't spend the entire time dead.

wow... There is no proof of hacking. They didnt really JUST spawn. The simulated a spawn. Later on in the video you see that they have a sniper escort. I would imagine that their friend, the sniper, gave them those guns. So they can quickly get into the lets play. What are the odds of spawning next to your buddy? Very slim. To quickly call out hacks is ignorance. They staged the spawn as if they just had. Looks to me, these idiots fooled you.

rocket has said bluntly having a private server compromises and stalls development. that servers are not to be private, kick or discriminate who can play on the server, and any server doing so is breaking the rules.

if you doubt this statement, read the sticky post containing all of the things rocket has said, this point comes up multiple times.

Don't you think that if they did hack things in, that they would have the most powerful items, with a massive supply supply of ammo, rather than a pistol and one clip of ammo? The only reason that they had Ridgedog acting as a sniper, was so that they don't die constantly.

What are you guys fighting about? Honestly, how does this affect YOU? Say I had a custom server and spawned in weapons. Say I was playing with my friends. You would never know. Nothing you can do about it. But it doesn't affect YOU, does it? So until Simon and Lewis come careening over the hills with their white pickup and hand your ass to you with their rifles, pick it up and move on.

Admins do not have server side controls to spawn in weapons. If people would even bother to look at the forums for more than five minutes before going off on some sort of crusade then threads like this would never exist in the first place.

Server admins may not have the option to spawn items by default but how do you know he wasn't using some kind of hack? If they were being assisted by an admin it kinda goes against the nature of the mod in terms of scavenging for supplies to survive but on the other hand i don't think their audience would have liked watching them wander around for hours trying to find shit.
