How do I find out we're I am? When I press m for map it's blank.

You don't start with a map you have to find one. I suggest a general store r maybe using this on another monitor for reference

and when you login to a server at the bottom right it says where you are when you login so just read the 2nd line and find it on the map: http://dayzmap.info/

Probably would help to find a map first, just my 2 cents. Also, when you log in there is a brief message in the bottom right corner of your screen that tells you your general whereabouts.

You just need to figure it out by yourself. You have to find the map at some lootpositions to activate the ingame map.

Another workaround is that you log out and log in again. Now at the very bottom right corner there you can see your rough position in a small text.

If you know your position, go to "http://dayzdb.com/map" and search for your exact location.
