Body Carrying (already in arma2)

Recommended Posts

Could the dev please consider activating the body carrying mechanic from the medical modules in the original arma2?

For those that don't play the main game, there is a system for activating medical healing, body carrying and dragging via the editor.

I thought it would be cool to help get buds out of danger zones and taking your kill somewhere you can loot safely.

Obviously the carry system only works on players, but it might be possible to use attachObject command to drag along an animal.

Would to people think?

It's already in game? It's just bugged at the moment so the person you're carrying or dragging sticks to your feat

I didn't know you can drag unconscious actually. I meant using it on dead bodies and people with broken bones too. Along with animals.

What he proposes is the ability to drag dead bodies, e.g dragging another guy that you've just managed to burst down, and loot him in safety rather than in the open.

I love this idea.

Not to my knowledge. But it would be actually really cool to drag around your friend with broken bones.

Also, there are two types of dragging in ArmA2.

First is the one currently in DayZ

The second one is lifting your buddy's body and placing it on your back, you know, the usual heroic WW2 pose :P

Is the feature ready in Arma for dead bodies? Every time I play it's incapacitated

Not for dead bodies, only knocked out (or 'wounded' if we are talking about the ArmA2 system itself)

Yea I actually meant the carry body, not drag anyway. Though drag will do if carry only works on living targets (whatever condition)

To enable the feature in arma2 LVG, you need to add the module in the editor. I think its called First Aid module or something. You need to sync it to all squad leaders that you want that ability. Try it with one squad of BLUFOR one squad of OPFOR in a nearby town then sync a first aid module to your BLUFOR squad. I think there is another medical module which gives more advanced features.

Also from memory the 'Firemans lift' style carry lets you move at a faster pace than dragging.
