Upon death not able to hit the escape key

During the screen that informs you that you are dead and you should go back to the character menu it is impossible for me to hit the escape key anymore. I have to completely close out Arma 2 and restart the game.

Date/Time: Euro server 11:30ish P.M. East Coast U.S. time

What happened: Upon death unable to hit the escape key

What you were doing: Pew Pewing

-Current installed version 1.4.2.3

(I have experienced this about three times today on three separate servers. Russian, U.S. 1 and Euro 1)

As do I, as do several other people I play with. We have to end the game entirely to respawn.

I'm unsure if this is related to the "hourglass" time-out when knocked out, if that's still trying to countdown in the background (or trying and unable to) or if it's just a total lockout, but I have to outright terminate the game to respawn.

I just died a few minutes ago on an undated server with an updated client (1.5) and I could not do anything but look at the screen. Had the end the process and re open in a new server the same as I had to earlier today and last night with the previous version (1.4.23).

this is all true, was with someone whom died and they haft to exit arma2.

I get it off and on more On than off though. Not sure how to fix it client side.

-Tried waiting as long as 20 minutes and it did not help.

-I tried to do a left shift and keypad minus f l u s h but that does not help either.

-tried numluck, capslock, tild, the F keys but none seem to fix it.

however i close the game via control panel

i re-join a server. and im still dead unable to press ANY buttons.

My friends got the same issue. Always dead and no KB.

Is it possible to delete his data so he can start from scratch?

Your sig is awesome! With the Mediafire downloads page gone it is no longer possible to see the date of the last update/patch. I will just check your sig every so often to remain up to date on the latest patches.
