whatever (DayZ) 0 Posted July 8, 2012 $1.3k' date=' and I can run on Very High at around 30-45 after the land has loaded.Just crank down your visual settings. Even on five year old computers, this game should run fine.[/quote']already at normal/lowI just saw this "guy" (don't want to get banned for cussing) who told the main dev of this mod NOT to patch the game any further. Well i'm happy YOU have a god damn SUPER computer to run this game with acceptable FPS.This is really one of my fav games' date=' but I refuse to play it unless they seriously fix the fps issues. If you don't have any issues, then please don't voice your opinion, because frankly I don't care if you run this game with your lovely 100000$ custom built pc, I just don't.My specs:AMD X2 Phenom 965 4GhzGeforce 560 GTX TI 1GB DD34GB RAMStart of game, fps goes from 50 down to 30-40, if I get close to a village or lots of zombies, 20 fps.Worst part is when I spawn near that big town elec something, then the FPS goes from 30-20 or far worse.. i've been at 12 fps./RANT[/quote']Roflmfao - dude..your system DESTROYS mine and I play just fine.20 FPS is fast enough for smooth running without it being choppy.Wanna know my specs?Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHzRam:4gigsVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS ----I play OK. My computer crashes from time to time, but that's because it's old. It needs to be retired but I can't afford it so I make do with what I've got.----EDIT: Download game booster from Iobit. And if you want another program to tinker around with download Riva Tunerthanks for your suggestions but this is a new system with a new os, and i'm still having issues with day z.I've tried other games like metro 2033 and bf3, they all run great.Hell arma 2 runs great in singleplayer.. but day z mp doesn't :(
Flying On Fumes 33 Posted July 8, 2012 Don't know if this has been said before apart from me:setting the GFX to NORMAL and below will use your CPUsetting the GFX to HIGH and above uses your GPUIf I was you I would try all to HIGH apart from MEM to DEFAULT, AA OFF and PP OFFVIEW DISTANCE dont do anything in DAYZ has it's set by server...If you have a 2nd monitor put System Monitor II and GPU Monitor Gadget's on and see what I mean... :)If the DEVS turned the GRASS off then you would get another 15fps, grass is useless anyway beyond 50 meter's... It's because I'm still using an 8800GT OC video card. But I also play at 1920x1080. I just basically do my best to never engage in close range combat if possible (easier to deal with low FPS from mid-long range).

Malice (DayZ) 1 Posted July 8, 2012 Planning on getting a GTX 690 and a 3970k later this year. Hopefully I could run it maxed out (currently everything is very low / low / disabled and I still lag like hell).Your insane if you go and buy a 3970k just for gaming. All you need is a i5-2500k, anything above that is just overkill and wont even affect gameplay. As far as the GTX 690 goes make sure you really want that card, i bought a GTX 480 fermi on sale for 220$ and it out performs a stock GTX 580 (Only draw back is the card runs hot). Do your research before you jump the gun, just a suggestion.

Rig costed under 600$ (If you would call this 2012 weakling a rig =P)Basically OP didn't want to research to solve his game/cpu issues./thread

bryantjudoman 3 Posted July 8, 2012 I run it on hight settings with a 6790. There is obviously something wrong with your video card a 560ti is plenty to run this game on high smooth as silk. Or perhaps invidia is junk.
