Has the issue of fake server registrations really been resolved? I downloaded the latest test server launcher and noticed there are still many fake servers showing 255/255 players. Are they testing something?

  • Fixed: Crash when entities that use BulletSkeletonComponent or PhysicsCharacterCtrl and 'SIMULATE' or 'POSTSIMULATE' event mask is despawned
  • Fixed: Physics: When bones were animated using the optimized animator, the parent bone was not being added to the list for 2nd stage hierarchy processing if the parent bone was already cached

So.... No improvements to the broken launcher? 

Mine and many other servers have been invisible to players that don't use the DZSA launcher going on many many months now.

CHANGED

  • Made the sway stabilization while holding breath more forgiving at most stamina levels
  • Temporarily disconnected item falling on basebuilding deconstruct/destroy events

 

MODDING

  • Fixed: Player character equipment slots are now displayed inside of a scrollable container when there is more then 16 equipments slots on the player character 
  • Fixed: FileSerializer wasn't writing anything to files on Linux using FileSerializer::Write() in the append mode (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T189207)

Currently, many regions around the world are unable to log into the game via the DayZLauncher because they are overrun with fake servers. The issue remains unresolved by the officials and has persisted for a long time. It seems hopeless.

I am writing to bring to your attention an ongoing problem with the DayZ community launcher—there is a massive presence of fake servers that is severely impacting the gaming experience for many players.

Overview of the Issue

Total Servers Scanned: 9,542

Fake Servers Identified: 8,812

Impact: Approximately 95% of the listed servers are fake, making it nearly impossible for players in the China region to access legitimate servers.

I have repeatedly conducted searches via the DayZLauncher community list, and each session takes around 15–20 minutes. The results are disheartening:

A short search displays only 100–300 server listings, all of which are fake.

Even after an extended search, fake servers still account for about 95% of the total results.


If there is any progress, I hope to receive a reply

I'm not from BI, but you will get the same answer like with the cheaters: "We can not do anything while cheating is brings money for cheat creators", the same about fakers. Theres software that disables BE and adding features for creating the fake servers, for money and completely free.

The problem of fake servers is based on searching, DayZ Server A2S_PLAYERS (Steam player info protocol) doesn't reporting the player's list (no way to check is server is fake or something), A2S_INFO (Steam Server information protocol) is only the record that can be sented to steam over 1 billion times and with re-sending timeout for 3 minutes (to give Steam the feeling that server is alive and not a fake one). And so on. It's the issue of Steam protection (because there's a wrappers for SteamAPI library for example the SteamQuery, that can make a fake server in few seconds with pure faking the SteamAPU Queries for Server Information, Players and etc.).

And as result I have a server that doesn't use any kind of that fale systems and I can't find my own server in Steam, DayZ Laucher, DayZ SA Launcher amd anywhere else, except the direct connection to the server for getting A2S_INFO query. This pisses me off to no end.
