Different NVGs and 380 ACP in 9mm pistol

Hey folks, this is my first ever post in DayZ forum even though I've been playing DayZ even before standalone was released.

Being military veteran and firearms/gear enthusiast I always appreciated effort Bohemia put into that aspect of the game.

So here are a few of my suggestions:

Since most gear in the game has duality of NATO and Soviet/Russian gear, why don't we expand that into the nightvision as well? have white phosphor dual tube night vision like PVS-31 or ANVS-6/9 be the top tier loot only available to the most dedicated folks (toxic zones/bunker) and have Russian PNV-10T as the more common yet less effective counterpart. Basically lower resolution green phosphor image with narrow field of view. That certainly would make more sense then the vintage Israeli Type 5151 night vision currently in the game. 

Another thing. Why can't players load .380 ACP ammo into 9mm pistols? yes it wouldn't cycle and cause a malfunction every time you fire but in a pinch that would be better then being unarmed. especially how common .380 ammo boxes and unloaded Glocks are in the game.

It would be hilarious if you could load any type of ammo which fits.

Especially if the guns would sometimes explode from that.

I have wished for this too :)

sometimes i feel that removing night vision altogether would be so much more fun. it feels cheap for the person using it, and unfair for the victim. and if 2 people with night vision fight, its just a normal fight like the daytime. it would be so much more fun if the light from flashlights, guns, and glowsticks, as well as audio are the main ways you fight in the dark. if you do have to have night vision, at least make it so its more like how it was in the 80s (ie, bad resolution, choppy and fuzzy, as well as heavy, and greatly restricting fov, so its an actual decision to put it on, not just flicking a light switch when night comes.

We also need to make a distinction: on "normal" servers, NVG is practically useless, the night is so bright. On "HC" servers, without NVG, you can't see anything (and personal light is incredibly annoying) and even when there is a Moon and the sky is clear, everything is always "artificially black".
In my opinion, the brightness in DayZ should be completely revised, but I fear that it is impossible since it has been bugged for a long, long time... maybe they are not capable of fixing it or it is the game engine that cannot handle it decently.
The right thing to do would be that on ALL servers, when there is a clear sky and a full Moon, the brightness should be like it is now on "normal" servers, and when there are clouds and no Moon, the brightness should be like it is now on "HC" servers. With all the variations in the intermediate situations: If the sky is clear but there is NO Moon, it should be dark, but you should see the stars. If there is a Moon, but the sky is cloudy, there should be a diffused brightness depending on how the clouds move.
In my opinion this would be really important... everything else is "trifles" from a video game, unfortunately, too arcade and also poorly managed (some absurdities are deliberate choices, not defects)...

It'd be so cool to have different types of NVGs, some more advantageous than others. Great idea. I also agree night time having different brightness based on the moon would be sick. The normal servers look a bit like how it does on a clear night with a bright full moon, while the first person servers have that claustrophobic, oppressive darkness that you get walking in the woods on a dark night. So yeah it'd be great to have both in the game, just depending on the weather. Man this is a great thread. Keep it up guys, woohoO!

variety would be nice for nvgs.

but loading different ammo types in uncompatible guns is just asking for more bugs and while it would be interesting to have ...the devs have alot more pressing issues that they should work on.
