Skalisty island survivor challenge

So I died and can't be bored to farm up equipment again for the next few days.

I am gonna try something different.

I will swim out to Skalisty island (south east on the map) and try to survive there with a newly respawned character.

Anyone wants to join me? Looking for maybe 2-3 people.

Day 1 diary:

I managed to find both beans and pepsi to survive another day.

Then I decided to stroll around the island and I found a small boat hidden behind it. I just had to swim out and see if it was possible to drive it. It was out of gas of course.

Then I started to swim back to shore and I lost all my gear on the ocean floor. Of course I didn't drink or eat before I swam out, so I have to find new beans and drinks.

I had to leave the island to fix a vehicle we found with my group, I saw it as higher priority.

But I will try this again if I get more people to join at the same time.

I think it is easy to survive with 1 person on the island, since there are both food and water spawns. But if you get like 5 people then food and drinks become harder to share, and you need to make decisions.

It would be a fun test, just like this game is.

Food and Water should be no problem. Got a base there once. There are plenty of animals and there is well too. But beside the big tower there is nothing intressting there.

No there isn't anything special there. The challenge is to survive with the little resources you get spread out over multiple people. When resources are limited.

Also swimming out there with a new character you lose your backpack, so you only have your inventory. And you need to find knife, matches etc. to survive off animals.

So the end game of the challenge would be something like a permanent base and being able to feed like 5 people.

I think this is great. I think I would get a little bored, as there would not be much interaction with people out there. Perhaps try to start a large outpost/base there? Not an item hoarding base, but just a safe haven away from most of the carnage that is DayZ :D

nice its a nice island i would rather go north though to avoid new spawners that like the place.
