Wildlife camera.

Recommended Posts

I c u…

Probably not an original thought, but I would like a wildlife camera added to the game. Very rare spawn possibly at hunting camps or even just randomly on trees in the woods. Should easily attach to a tree or vertical post (like a street lamp or power pole possibly even a new purpose designed base structure) and can be stolen easily if spotted. Four slots and requiring a battery that drains when it’s activated by movement and sound within a twenty meter radius. Recording for 20 seconds at a time and capacity for storing 10 or so videos in a lower resolution than in game and also night vision. When in your hands it opens a menu similar to the map allowing a viewer option to see who’s been prowling my base with time stamps. Three raids now and I’ve missed them all. Would be handy to see whose been planting traps around my flagpole as well (it wasn’t me… or was it?).

Is this possible?

How is this going to help you with identifying the perp ? It's not like people's characters have individual look. It'll probably be one of dozens if not hundreds identical characters on the server.

Good point, but if the footage was time stamped, then if it was 10 hours ago or 20 minutes, then you could ignore or pursue or assume they may still be close by. Armbands for squads help identify groups and also good to know if someone snooping around is geared or not. You could also start to see a pattern of times that someone is about and attempt dialogue/murder.

It is slightly pointless but so is the majority of the game that I play as much as possible. Looking to add immersion and would also allow interesting dayz videos with added wildlife camera footage. Catching a detonation of a trap would make me chuckle.

Edit: I’ve been wearing the same clobber since the wipe for 37 hours in game. Easily recognisable by the two front and back mountain rucksacks.🤠

20 minutes later they'll be long gone. Same goes for them being geared or not. Their attempt to break in might as well draw unwanted attention they are back on the coast. Not to mention that adding an in game video player would be using up considerable amount of time of the devs team could and should spent spent on fixing an unholy amount of broken things in this game.
