Guys, it's been just one week after all servers got wiped, on the first day I remember I could find a spark plug in every broken car or shed. Now I've been wandering through two servers: 4370 Livonia and 5059 Chernarus, played more than 10 hours, checked every shed, every car, smelled many toilets and all in vain. No spark plugs at all! I'm getting paranoid, because I think some guys just collect them in their bases. I can see more new cars than spark plugs. And also another problem is that every new car I see has no wheels at all, someone just removes them. Just every car I see has no wheels at all. Someone just doesn't want other players to drive a car, that;s too greedy. So the question is, why there should be such a restrictment on spark plug spawning?

Stop looking for them and you’ll find loads.

Indeed.

But sadly it didn't work for glow plugs here.

Not a single one found after hours of farming industrials..

Loot spawns in waves, which means if you looked everywhere and can't find it probably didn't spawn in this cycle at all or what little did was picked up. Please try again later.

Indeed. I call them "promotions" or "sales" like for supermarkets or shops. It's always been a bug of DayZ (as far as I remember, I started from 1.06). You almost never find what you need and often, when you find something, you also find others that are the same, often in the same place, or just around the corner. In theory it should be the "<restock>" item (the delay time for putting an object back into play), if set, to slow down the spawn and to "scatter" an object better. In the "types.xml" file, not all objects have a "restock" time set and it's something I changed on my server, but I see that it still doesn't work... I always find "groups of objects" in the same area . Unfortunately DayZ is like this, often too many objects of the same type in the same place and, often, some objects are completely missing. It's been like this since I can remember. And many times not even a few days is enough... even if they are not always on DayZ, but it seems as if the "regional distributor" has problems with stocking certain items and you have to wait for the next restocking to find the item "on the shelves ". 😁
This is DayZ too.
Moreover, the "GlowPlugs" only count on the map, so they are not "blockable for accumulation" by anyone, you could accumulate them infinitely, at least 12 would always be born on the map. (nominal = 20 min = 12 restock = 0, count_in_map ONLY, "tools", "Industrial") Maybe they are waiting to spawn or they are all in one area specify that you do not travel. Also consider that I often find industrial equipment more often in the sheds of suburban houses than in specifically "industrial" areas. Try looking at the.

P.S.

Now I read better, the OP was talking about "SparkPlug".
The speech is almost the same, only that the types is:
nominal = 60
reset = 0
Mins = 40
count_in_map = 1 (ONLY)
tools
shelves
Industrial
So you have even more chances to find them, the locations are almost the same (you should search the shelves, in theory... but DayZ is still DayZ... )
In any case it is NOT "blockable by accumulation", even if you spend your days filling barrels of candles, they will always be born ahead and on the map you should find at least 40... in theory well scattered, in practice you will find them in groups and when "they want". 😁

Thank you guys for all the detailed informations. In general,  i`ve made the same experiences with the loot economy:

I also recognized that after updates with a wipe, the LE is often more messed up like that.

I`m actually  noticing it (after 1.21) on both official maps -Livonia(temporary) and Chernaus- . especially base- and electric items seem to wavespawn.

however, I`m still looking for the glowplug.
