Nerf Stab Vest

Recommended Posts

The stab vest at the moment is like a coastal plate carrier, ive been shot by many 308. rounds and withstood it without going uncon and left at yellow HP. I think this is a little OP due to the fact that this is a very common item and can be obtained on the coast.

Changes that id suggest:

-cut the bullet damage resistance in half (or just alot)

-decrease the chance of it spawning on infected

-Pristine/worn should be much more rare

-make other chest items have bullet resistance(field vest, tac vest .etc)

Let me know what you think

Personally i don't think anyone should even be getting a gun until they reach Tisy mili, the very middle of it. I've been one shot popped all round the map even with a poor man's plate and it's not fair. Guns are just too OP. Harumph.

Leave it alone, it’s fine the way it is. It also has no capacity to carry anything.

Something you can find on the coast within 30 seconds can stop you from dying to the highest caliber in the game that can take ours to find. I dont agree sorry

Setting damage values and then balancing by adjusting resistances seems like a fine idea!  I definitely would agree to this balancing approach.  That said,  the stab vest doesn't seem OP, considering the inventory trade off.

Has WOBO or anyone reputable actually done ballistic tests? I’d be curious to see controlled testing done to either prove or disprove the Stab Vest’s effectiveness against gunshots.

As far as ease to locate Stab Vests vs Plate Carriers, survivors can locate Press Vests just as easily as Stab Vests — and to my understanding Press Vests = Plate Carriers.

The main differences are carrying capacity, attachments and most of all visual camouflage. So, if the Stab Vests do in-fact offer ballistic protection I’m fine with that.
