Melone (DayZ) 16 Posted February 19, 2023 The other day I was in a large building on the fourth or fifth floor and threw down grenades from a balcony to attract zombies. But I also used them to lure a player. I could hear his footsteps coming up the stairs, opening one door after another. I got into position on the balcony by the window and just waited for him to open the door, so all I had to do was shoot. The door suddenly opened, but there was no player to be seen. Then a shot, muzzle flash on the door frame, immediately a hit. I couldn't see anything else. I moved back and forth a bit and again only his muzzle flash was visible. That could really only be possible that he could see through the wall or he was shown a rectangle of my character. He knew exactly where I was. I didn't get to see anything from the player. Overt cheaters will tend to get caught on community servers. But there can still be subtle cheaters that aren't detected. Official is just full of overt cheaters because there is no moderation.
