Built a base doesnt count never died

So I just went through about 14 hours playing the game yesterday straight through gather all the materials I needed to built the base put up a gate put up a lock everything remember the server it was official server La 9589 when I log back in on that server it has me way out in the middle of nowhere I tried logging into every single other official server available and it puts me nowhere near that base not only that but my dude now has a sickness real bad what the heck what did I do wrong what's the point in playing the game if you can't keep the base you just built

Either a bug or you entered a wrong server somehow and got moved.

How long was the server load time? If it was 75 seconds you joined the wrong server and it gives you a random spawn. This will happen every time you change server now, even if you eventually find the correct one. You should favourite your server.

If you just go in the game and press play it will load up your last player character.
