In-game messaging

It would be cool to be able to write a message on a piece of paper or a rag, or even tree bark. Might add an interesting aspect to the game like a treasure hunt, or leaving a message outside a base.

That would be nice, but, we all know how it would end up getting used. That's why we can't have nice things anymore.

Yeah. I had it activated for a while (functionality is already in the game, it is just deactivated) and even on my low pop servers with mostly friendly community, there were notes written with crap that was just too offensive. So I have a few numbtards on my banlist now - and the notes deactivated again...

I guess wall tagging with spray paint (if it’s reintroduced) is out of the question. We can all guess what would be written.

So, if people can write nasty things on paper, it's over? I don't want to lose such an amazing feature because of this nonsense.
