Why don’t Christmas light actually give off light?

Have you ever noticed this? If they actually gave off light people would actually use them. Please fix.

They do, but they need power. Connect to a power source and you get some decorative lights around your base. What I want is that they make it possible to hang the xmas lights on fences and watch towers too, as in the concept art for base building shown some years ago.

They don’t actually produce any usable light. They do turn on and are colored but do not produce usable light? Do you understand ?

Yes exactly, they should actually be a light source.

Or have two versions. Version one runs on a 9v battery and gives off minimal light and V2 runs off the ginny and lights up like the gas lantern.
