[00040031] WaitAuthPlayerLoginState

Recommended Posts

[00040031] WaitAuthPlayerLoginState - it started taking its toll on community about 2 days ago. More people with that problem each day. It just started happening, which probably means some very small update that nobody from the top bothered to tell people about. Shuffling files does nothing. Reinstalling does nothing. Playing with drivers is useless, its not ISP fault and certainly not mods. It's not Putins white noise as well...

It's confirmed that this issue happened along small official update. It's also confirmed that 00040031 kick happens when some applications / overlays are enabled when one is trying to log in in "DayZ". People can either turn off everything non essential before playing or not play at all. Issue was presented to Bohemia through their own feedback platform with no response from them.

Still no response - on either comm channel. Figures - its easy to broke things and who cares about reparing them. Bah, not even official statement. They just don't care to talk to you. Unless you praise them, then Maybe they will find a second or two. EOT, please close it. You can do it at least, right?

Solution that has been working for me

I use the DZSA launcher and always launch the game from it since it has my last played and favourites, so

Launch the game via the launcher, if you get the error close the game and the launcher, let steam finish the cloud sync, relaunch the game via the launcher. Works in about 80% of the cases in the first try.

I've been seeing the same error for a few weeks now. When it happens, I can't connect to any server. When I try, I get kicked with the same message. If I close DayZ completely and restart it, I can then connect with no issues. Sometimes I've had to close the game more than once for it to work. I'm using the standard DayZ launcher, not DZSA. Can someone explain what the error is telling us? It might be helpful to know what it means.

Hmm yeah seems to be happening for me as well. Tried rebooting, restart steam, logged out and in, launched with DZLA launch or via DayZ Client in steam. Nothing works.

Yea looks like a pretty generalized issue. If you check the official server player counts, the highest one is at 11 players right now.

Can’t log into the community servers either.

Same here. Game worked yesterday without problems. Today, first Steam complained about different save-states in Steam Cloud and gave me a choice which one to reinstate. Took the last known working in Steam cloud from yesterday, not the local one. After that, got the [00040031] error. Until now I have not been able to fix it.

Btw: I run no overlays, nothing else. I tried the official and DAYZSA Launchers, both normal and as admin. No luck. All workarounds suggested online failed.
