Xbox Experimental 1.16 Update - Version 1.16.154473 (Released on 27.01.2022)

FIXED

  • Combine option between Gas Stove and Gas Canisters was not functioning properly
  • C130 plane had misplaced textures
  • "Disinfected" item status was missing grey highlight box

  • Fireplaces wouldn't properly disappear if the last attachment removed were stones or a tripod

  • Increased the threshold for terrain clipping, allowing easier placement of base building objects on the ground

  • Increased energy and water given by mushrooms (similar to fruits now)
  • Some jackets can now be torn into rags similar to their pants-counterpart
  • Removed action to take fireplace from fire barrel

  • First Aid Kits and Teddy Bears can now be repaired with sewing kits
  • Protector Cases and Ammo Boxes can now be repaired with epoxy putty
  • The gas stove now emits light when active
  • The pick axe can now be used to bury things and bodies
  • Duct tape can now be utilized to craft a splint
  • Hid the UI element showing parts of the car while sitting inside
  • Slightly reduced the penetration value of 5.56x45mm ammunition to match other bullets
  • Reduced the range of the thermometer results

  • Added: use3DMap parameter to the gameplay settings to disable to the 2D map overlay for the Tourist Map
  • Added: shockRefillSpeedConscious parameter to the gameplay settings to adjust the speed at which the player's Shock value refills when the player is conscious
  • Added: shockRefillSpeedUnconscious parameter to the gameplay settings to adjust the speed at which the player's Shock value refills when the player is unconscious
  • Added: allowRefillSpeedModifier parameter to the gameplay settings to allow/disallow the modifier of the shock value refill based on ammo type settings
  • Fixed: Leaving some entries empty in cfgEffectArea.json would result in default particles, rather than no particles

  • Fully consuming an item assigned to the quick bar while the quickbar is hidden might cause a bug with the quick bar

On Xbox EXP 1.16, you can no longer walk while in your hot wheel. Is this an intentional change or a bug?

Yep I can confirm this bug, cant move with radial open anymore, which is a reversion to how it used to be unfortunately. Also movement isn't disabled when the Inventory Screen is open also, which has been a previous bug before. Great update otherwise, great fixes & changes, hope these bugs get fixed before release to stable though as there seriously negatively effect quality of life

No offense man, but the servers I like have queues that take an hour, and to get in and just have ur whole game crash especially on these newer consoles is just frustrating. Please can we find a solution to the game just all out crashing.

the character walks when browsing the inventory with analog, with dpad down activates the microphone. That's serious. if the player uses a headset without mute it reveals its position when browsing the inventory

They listed it as a known issue in the patch notes.

On console can y’all make a aim sensitivity and a dead zone sensitivity ?

What about V-Sync for Xbox users? We might not have problems with that issue but some of us have monitors that have v-sync and would be a nice addition to run 60fps with v-sync. Also, can we expect an optimization for DayZ for next-gen consoles? How is Vigor optimized on console before DayZ? I mean that in a respectful manor as i would assume DayZ has a bigger player base...

P.S. if the optimization happens, would you increase framerate for next-gen consoles to 120fps?

My guess is Vigor makes a lot more money than DayZ, and runs on an easier to navigate engine with a bigger team and budget.

There was talk in their preliminary plans for 2022 about the console versions getting more love this year, so I’m sure stuff like this is on the team’s mind.

Yeah.. It's called optimizing their game for next-gen but for some reason they don't plan on optimizing for next-gen consoles. I'm on the Series X and my game crashes consistently. Hopefully they can get that situated because Vigor got a next-gen optimization before DayZ did

I hope so bro... It'll be two years since next-gen consoles have been out this year.. i think its time for them to optimize the game. Im crashing at some serious points in gameplay and ruins the fun. When im PvP'ing i shouldnt have to worry about the game crashing cause its not optimized for my console... but i really hope they do it

It's definitely annoying. They've already made performance strides on PS5, so it's clearly something they care about doing, and it's a huge part of the playerbase. 

I will be surprised at how much performance they can tweak out of those last gen systems. The game barely functions on an Xbox One inside any big city. I just hope doing so doesn't give last gen players an unintentional advantage. They already have the ability to see through buildings for a not insignificant amount of time when loading into the game.

For the love of god wipe the experimental servers! The loot is trash and there’s so many old bases that are stripped to the bone. I know it’s unpopular to wipe a server but good god the experimental ones really need it. The only people it will affect are those short term players that play for a solid three months, claim to be gods at this game, then get rekt and go back to pubg/cod/Fortnite cause they’re trash people. The rest of your dedication fan base will still play and will still love you! Us seasoned players will thank you for wiping experimental.

 

also, is it on purpose that we can move around while in our inventory? 

Can you please take down experimental servers when they’re not being used. It’s come to my attention that weak sucks have been using experimental as their own “official/non official server” since they can’t hang on regular official servers. It’s disgusting.

It's the experimental branch? There's a big warning about the experience not being optimized or stable (as far as such things can go in DayZ.) It's not really meant to be your main server destination. Outside of potentially improving performance, who cares if the servers are wiped? Most people check out EXP when an new update drops, play it for a bit, and move on to Stable.

Why don’t you guys focus on real issues with the game.  Focus on the cheaters swimming under the map, dooping, zombies coming after players shooting silenced weapons from far distances.  Players a distance away shooting and the zombies go after player laying down in the distance.  This game is awesome but so broken.  Please fix the major problems, players do not care about bird noises or the wrong color on spray bottles.

Doopers wearing blue arm bands on sg4440 server.  Our team has killed over 23 the last week all have the same outfits, inventory down to the 3/4 open can of bacon.

The moving around whilst inventory and being able to speak whilst in the inventory menu are brilliant features to have PC can use inventory whilst moving around why can’t we ? A lot of people I’ve spoke to love that feature
