Rework sickness and Zombie awareness!

Recommended Posts

It’s ridiculous easy to get sick in this game I find myself always searching for my tetracycline pills always having to carry them. There should be a better chance of not getting sick from non disinfected Bandages/rags and zombies are much too aware for how many there are now. It’s annoying af and makes me lose interest super fast.

Game is supposed to be hard. If this is too much for you... then try modded servers (they can be even harder tho, but most are easier).
Sickness isn't really an issue if you aren't cold/wet/starving/dehydrated.

Fish/hunt/collect canned foods, eat, get meds, get warm, pop vitamins, you should be good to go.

yeah pathetic constant sickness is ruining the game... i don't have a problem with difficulty but when you don't have the slightest idea why you are constantly healing from sickness then getting sick again 5 mins later staying healthy is darned near impossible. Only definite way to cure sickness seems to be to deliberately kill your character and start a new one! Works great, until that character gets sick.

Rinse/repeat.

Boring.

But really... Afflicting disease from wounds is an option only. Player decides himself/herself to apply unsanitized materials or to not apply anything at all. It's not game's fault...

I would rather talk about salmonella because there is something weird going on with it. Can contract it from other person without exchanging food or water. Maybe through utensils - but there is no way to sanitize them because that option was removed a few patches ago for no reason. Why?

Well it's hardly an option. Either bandage or bleed out right? I don't mind the way it currently is. Iodine or disinfectant seems easy enough to find and rags are a plenty. Never had the issue with salmonella but I play solo, so couldn't say for sure if that's a thing.

It is an option - an option only to use materials that are unsafe. It is also an option to fight with environment without basic tools prepared. People die on vanilla because of their own decisions.

Yep, that's the one. Blurred vision, grunts of pain, puking, loss of food and water. Just seems once someone in the group has it, everyone gets it and it just reappears 5 mins after you get rid of it. Not enough medicine in the game to make it worth trying to stay alive.

I'd rather die trying to survive than suicide or give up. That's the whole point of the game for me.

I've always managed to avoid or cure disease before. This one was caught by a member of our group and they have no idea how, quickly spread to 2 others myself included and anyone since coming in close contact. It keeps re-infecting despite being cleared with tetra and with no contact from anyone else. It spreads among players rapidly without coughing, sneezing or sharing food/water and despite all of us wearing face coverings. Never encountered anything like it before and i'd experienced all the sicknesses prior to this latest patch 1.15.

Something else must be at play here rather than a frustrating but intentional newly added game mechanic?

😕

😂😂 I love the fuckin egotistical comments people throw in. “You’re just bad that’s why you complain”. Like Stfu dude I’ve played this game since the Arma 2 days please if you haven’t got anything good to say. It’s not even this easy to get sick IRL.
