Homeschooliazon 87 Posted October 8, 2021 I can never hear people until they are shooting me, no matter how close they get to me. This guy litterally touched my back and I didnt hear him apporach, I power attacked him in the face and got out my gun but his friend who i also didnt hear shot me. I have the game turned all the way up. My friend told me if you dont have the effects setting in-game turned to max some sounds get muted even if you have the game at 100000000000000 decibels, is this true? I feel very cheated getting jumped every time by people Running up to me, holding clinky clanky guns, wearing heavy boots, a giant backpack with all kinds of jingle jangle rounds, nades, mags, bottles and a helmet that jumbles around on their head. TheYetiBum 790 Posted October 9, 2021 I haven't had this problem , but I do use head phones with a bass boost function. But tbh I think the foot step sounds area actually pretty on point. Maybe try deleting the game & downloading again to see if its some weird issue with that. Hope you get it sorted out , oh & some ppl actually take there shoes off in game when running up on someone as you make way less noise that way, could be that Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Tonyeh 454 Posted October 9, 2021 I've noticed, too, that the sound in the game can be a bit "enigmatic" at times. Sometimes I can hear the sounds of other player footsteps. But at other times players can literally run up to me and I hear bugger all. Yesterday I was on Esseker and looking at a lad running out of a police station. I didn't shoot him I just watched where he was going. I could hear HIS footsteps as he ran across the road to one of those little shops. But I COULDN'T hear the footsteps of the player that ran up behind me an knocked me out with a pick axe. I heard him grunt as he did his power attack though. Very weird. Amp4hilyon 3 Posted October 9, 2021 i have the same problems at average im playing with patience and slowly nearby civilians areas but in most times its pointless cause im sneaked off from the back or other strange position where i cant notice the enemy the most anyoing for me is when i try to shoot some1 whos in a nowhere empty area from a high distance with sniper rifle while im hide in bushes, and if i miss 1-2 times in like 5 seconds, they already instantly know where im even if im invisible cuz of the camo/bushes/trees around me and they shoot me or insta kill like a damn terminator i dont know how they know the position, i know the low graphics settings its the core + the sound, but really, when some1 shoot to u and ur in a very wide emtpy area its really so impressive to detect the blend in with bushes/hidden enemy whos shooting u and dont get the panic to just run as fast as possible to nearby forest BUT TRY FIGHT AND KILL HIM... PS: sometimes im really pissed of when some1 kill me from wide area while im in trees and first shooting him from like 300-400m... he detect me in seconds and shoot straight to me, THIS IS CRAZY or cheating...
