So im new please forgive me if this has been asked before. But is the lifespan of a land mine really only 2 hours? I set one about 3 hours ago and cant interact with it.

it should disappear once its lifespan is over. Do you have the correct tool to "unset" it?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think a screwdriver could disarm it. Do it at your own risk.

But long sticks, shovels and brooms could also "disarm" it in a surprising way.

Since 1.09 landmines last 7 days (IRL days).
"Tweaked: Increased the lifetime of bear traps and landmines to 7 days"

And also since 1.12 landmines are not always lethal to players(*).

(*) According to some rumors, plates will tank a landmine and not cause you to die instantly, but you will have broken legs and very low HP.
