What if you could combine 4 long sticks with a tarp and create a rain catcher that you can place containers under and have them slowly fill up during rain storms?

So im new please forgive me if this has been asked before. But is the lifespan of a land mine really only 2 hours? I set one about 3 hours ago and cant interact with it.
