Andrei Amarfii 7 Posted April 9, 2021 Hi, any plans to have servers that do not allow characters from other servers ? In my opinion it does not look fair if you can get geared on low population server and then join high population server. Similarly if you raid a base on high population server and then pump all the loot towards another server it reduces the chance towards 0 that the owners will be able to get their loot back. I would love to play on official vanilla, but this "feature" kills any enthusiasm to do so.
McWendy 675 Posted April 9, 2021 Its been so since start, numerous people complained about it. Never changed. You can even jump to livonia servers if their within the hive. Its never gonna change. Might aswell pick a good private server and stick to that. That's what most of us did. Bare in mind some people have multiple accounts so they can still attack you with multiple characters they positioned around a city/town. So you're never safe. But hey its DayZ. Always be vigilant!! 🙂
Andrei Amarfii 7 Posted April 10, 2021 Well people that got used to such playstyle may be unhappy with the change. So I would be happy with an addition rather than a change. Why not take add 1 server to every region and make the loot/characters not shared. Leave existing servers as is.
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted April 10, 2021 Yeah I'd like to see at least one server for each region and map that is non transferable
Tonyeh 454 Posted April 10, 2021 ^ This would only be a good idea if (A) the count_in_cargo, count_in_hoarder, etc was done away with and (B) if the server was well populated. The "count_in" flags are a scourge on the game and it wrecks it for many players. And if folk are stuck on a low pop server and can't server hop to somewhere with some more people without having to start all over again as a freshie, I can see many players just giving up.

I wonder if it would be possible to have something like Sea of Thieves does. I can't recall the technical name, but players are migrated to populated servers without even knowing it? I just meant if there was one server per region like this. I know it would never happen anyway, just thinking out loud.

All that will happen is that one or two groups will sweep up the map and stash all the top tier loot denying it to everyone else. Eliminate them and I could see it possibly work.
