JoeyB123 6 Posted November 29, 2020 Hey guys not new to Dayz but a few questions related to the latest version, I'm on console atm... 1) The patch notes say vegetables and mushrooms, possibly fruit too, has had its nutritional value changed. Before all veg you could grow was a flat 20kcal raw, anyone know what it actually is now? A vid on youtube by WOBO mentions zucchini is now 60kcal, not sure about others? 2) When it comes to hunting animals, do all types of deer (stag, doe, buck) have the same health? If so are we still at the situation where regardless of location you can't bring a stag down with a single tundra etc? You still need a blaze, double barrel sawn off etc? 3) Scopes wise, I noticed on the KA-74 when I put a kobra sight on, at close range the bullet does not seem to land at the red chevron, but still at the iron sights that you can see through the scope. Is the idea that at 100m the bullet would land at the chevron? I'd have thought it would be even less likely to with bullet drop tbh. However I notice with the kobra aiming down sights on my character, it seems to swing the gun on the x-axis much quicker than if I aim down iron sights...just trying to work out if irons are better for this gun if you don't want magnification or what. Thanks for any answers guys.
EzyStriderPS4 191 Posted November 29, 2020 1. The foods mentioned have been increased in nutritional value from their previous versions relative to the current system of energy expenditure. I don’t know how many calories they contain. 2. Aim extremely, unrealistically, low on the rib cage for one-shot. I use the trustworthy M70, but .357/7.62/9x39/slugs/buckshot will all do the job. 3. I don’t use kobra sights.
James Adam Rimmer 13 Posted December 3, 2020 have to admit, veggies seem to be the way to go for spawns. Slap a garden down, grab all the whatevers you can, and you can make it off the shore while chowing down all the way. Have not had much luck hunting, a least for the critters that run away.....Wolves, cows, sheep, and pig all seem to be easy enough. Then again, Iv never used anything more than double barrel shotty for the deer. Do not know what the kobra sights attatch to, give me a heads up on what it goes on and Ill see if I can figure it out.....might just be bad range setting.....too high to low and it adjusts how the bullet flies. Yeah the Cobra goes on the Vaiga Auto Shotty too but tbh all the 1x scopes are way to clunky & obscuring for me, iron sights all the way. The only decent sight is the relfex but it has such insane reflection on it unless your in a pitch black room I never bother.
