SmD PangerLenis 1 Posted August 9, 2020 (edited) So last week monday, tuesday and wednesday DayZ was working just fine then on thursday i couldnt start dayz anymore. everytime i press play in the launcher it just opens an blackscreen i uninstalled dayz steam reinstalled it run it as admin set properties deleted all files also in %appdata% but nothing worked. so i actually BOUGHT a new pc (old one was an i7 8770k with an 1060 nvidia and was running it perfectly in highest settings for about 6 years now). so my new pc got the newest i9 2080 super 3 TB 3200 mb/s ssds i installed DayZ on my new pc AND THE SAME PROBLEM WAS THERE just a blackscreen after i started when i closed it through the task manager the code: 0x00000001 - UNABLE_TO_INIT_DXGI shows up. The funny thing is, dayz experimental just runs fine i can start it and join all servers there and play. wtf is wrong with my game?! Its just so fucking frustrating that theres no month in dayz without any fuqing problems. someone told me i should try it on another account but day costs 40 € right now ! so i just dont want to invest 40€ to test out if my normal account is broken somehow? IF any one got the same shit problem just download experimental and the normal dayz. start experimental join a server and leave it. then drag all files from experimental in the normal dayz files and it runs again. took me over a fkn week to fixx my game. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Parazight 1599 Posted August 9, 2020 I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard this story. It’s always dayz. People restart from the ground up when experimental runs just fine. Tche Loco 0 Posted September 23, 2020 (edited) Mr SmD PangerLenis, thank you very much. Your lordship saved my sanity. I installed the experimental DayZ, connected to a server, get out. Copy and paste the Experimental files into the DayZ folder, overwriting all files. I connected to the server but received a rejection message (bad version).
