In .62 any item you held in your hands had collision. It would block (if it was hard enough) bullets and melee attack that hit it. You could even grab a barrel and use it as an improvised riot shield. If this gets back into DayZ, maybe they'll even have your gun degrade from being shot/stabbed while you are holding it? You could disarm people by ruining their weapon, opening up more non-violent options for player interaction.

Great idea Homeschooliazon who is definetly not me!

This was actually added partially recently!!!

It is an amazing feature that you can shoot the items in peoples hands.

The collision on backpacks, shoulder-weapons and with melee strikes can still be added 🙂
