New game concept - closed doors

Recommended Posts

------- New concept in the game -------

Listen, what's the idea?:

What if you go to the server and almost all the houses are locked. You have a new target - to find a sledgehammer to break locks in houses and find loot in them. But zombies react to the sound of a sledgehammer strike and your mission to quickly or stealthily search home will be doomed. And other players nearby will know about your presence.

The sounds of a sledgehammer will cause a feeling of danger - because you know that someone is breaking doors and calling zombies. And this is a signal for killers. You will have to fear not only zombies but also other players.

I always get scared when I hear the sounds of a shot nearby. And with a sledgehammer in your hands is a difficult choice, because you need to look for loot in houses. You will know that you cannot be unnoticed

And broken door will mean that someone has already tried for you. Broken door - the house is empty, look for another.

You will have to be afraid of zombies until you break the door lock. And you cannot loot the city in 5 minutes!!! Now you have to think, develop a strategy, look for a partner - which will help protect you from zombies while you hit the door lock. The master key will be a very sought after loot.

Breaking door locks means spending extra time and energy and a sledgehammer takes up extra space - which together will bring additional difficulties to the game for fans of survival. Why is there a survival game if there are few survival elements in it?

You will have to kill zombies near the house you want to loot. And your sledgehammer wears out and breaks. You have to choose what to loot and carry a spare sledgehammer with you.

In the conditions of the apocalypse, when people left their homes - most certainly they closed them from marauders. So damn it - why not implement it in a zombie apocalypse game?

And most importantly !!! -- it is very simple to implement. Developers do not need a lot of time and complicated mechanics to break door locks. It is only necessary to slightly change the parameters and add a new sound of a blow to the door lock. Very easy!

I think everyone will benefit from this:    Players will be able to get a new meaning in the search for loot and a new danger!    Developers effortlessly diversify the game!

What say, survivors?

I say I like the idea, but not for almost all of the doors as you said here because that would become tedious very quickly.

If you had a handful of locked doors in each town with the promise of some higher-end loot locked inside, this concept would be fantastic.  As you say, it would take a bit to get inside, because the sledgehammer noise could actually be the trigger to spawn infected nearby.

One downside though is that it would promote camping -- a player would hide nearby, let you do all the work and then kill you for the loot you found inside.

Thanks for the answer.
Need balance - you're right!
Ramdomny choice of closed locks would be the best solution.

Campers will be anyway. Boring without them. I remember how I came under sniper fire in Cherno. My heart was beating like a machine gun. I experienced as in reality. In what game will you get so much adrenaline ???

The main target of this idea is to lower the search speed of loot and increase the value of civil loot. Stop the vacuum cleaners!
It's interesting to play when there is a risk. Risk generates loot value and increases character value.
