Save game?

Hi

I am completely new to DayZ - Thinking of getting it for PS4 but I have read from reviews that you can lose hours of progress if you die?

Is there not a save option?

nope, no save option. You die, thats it, a trip back to the beach.

you can bury some stuff for your next respawn, and or if you respawn near where you die, you can recover stuff from your dead body

but other wise, you die, you respawn anew on the beach

If I were you id Read up on this game.... 

The game is in a bad state at the moment. And no its a "hardcore" survival mmo/fps without offline options so save games are non existent 

You could have a character alive for a month and then die without knowing why 

This game is not for casual play (well the bugs make it not for casual play)
