Brother Hao 28 Posted February 22, 2020 Hello, I would like littering to be added in the game. There was a pretty simple method of littering in the DayZ mod where if you ate anything in a can or a bag or whatever, you'd leave behind an empty can or bag of crisps or whatever. It was a pretty fun way to track someone's movement throughout Chernarus. I think that adding this into the standalone would make player encounters more thrilling and covering your tracks more of a priority, since the only way to tell if someone was near you recently is if all the loot's gone, there's a whole lotta dead bodies or if you just saw them. Adding things like bullet casings, empty cans, bags and maybe even bloodied cloth (from when someone bandages themselves) would benefit the game greatly IMO. cirkular 178 Posted February 23, 2020 Yes, but adding all that clutter would mean that, for everyone to see it, the server needed to handle the data for each item and to each client. And knowing how many items are there used up by just one player, it would be too much. So that would probably overload and crash the servers easily, if not destroy them completely or explode.
