etaab 70 Posted February 9, 2020 We always play on public servers, because we enjoy the excitement of the PVP on sight. The key to beating dupers, is finding their stashes. Recently we raided someone's base and found about 16+ end game assault rifles, including 4x LAR, 4x KA 47, 4x KA 74 and a few other shotguns and about 12 pairs of NVG. A lot of them we threw in the sea, as we really dont have the need for them, so they would respawn. Hopefully if we got all of their stash, theres a higher chance of them respawning for real. Servers where you know the player base is at least working toward the same goal in relation to the rules they want to play by, etc. is the only way to go for me. Public DayZ servers on PS4 were actually not so bad initially. The gameplay was different in that people were still exploring and trying to figure out the game. Encounters were "iffy" but there was a good chance the other guy would at least be open to a dialogue with you without shooting you outright. Now it's essentially KOS which I honestly can't blame people for. I stopped playing and gave up my server due to the issues but with the recent "fixes" they have been talking about in 1.07 and the changes to the server options for rentals, I just might rent another one for a month to see how it goes. Anwah 54 Posted February 12, 2020 The problem with private servers, is the owners are pretty "misinformed" There was a few I played on, Some of them Lag to bits because the population is too high others are completely dead and then you have the server owner that if they experience a hint of lag, Its time to reset the server, Even had one roll back, We had a car and every set up , tents and boxes barrels and all kinds of stuff, Got back on both of us were on the coast with nothing, Private servers can be fun if the owner doesnt mess with it too much but Public for me in my opinion was the safest bet because I don't have to worry about it being reset, Which " public servers aren't free from Character bugs" but it was more fulfilling experience imo. If you ever built a car on the dope server at max pop, And tried to drive it. Lol its like being superglued on a ground plain even when you are walking. They need to just fix the duping method or remove the gun cap OR remove the server side stuff as on console there are no hacks for this game which kinda causes the issues. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

etaab 70 Posted February 15, 2020 That's because there isnt any decent ones due to dupers. One thing though, to dupe a weapon you do need one to dupe from. If dupers cant find them to start with they cant dupe them. We've also recently discovered a way of stashing guns in the ground without a pile of dirt visible on screen. We're not even hardcore gamers and we found it by accident. So now we're certain dupers will know what we know and will be using the same places to stash their gear.
