British Bob 0 Posted December 21, 2019 guys after watching Dayz on you tube, it seems my kinda game, having down loaded it today PS4 (hope im on the right site) first looking in all the houses all I ever found was a bag of rice have died at lest 10 times of hunger, but the biggest upset was finding a police station along with a glock and ammo with clip ( empty) the controls for changing from single to auto does not work, ispent so much time trying googling, I died from thirst, lol. is there a patch I need to download or is this the way its play before the DLC game. any advice accepted. In general though, it is a survival game primarily so yes, you might struggle to survive. A few tips to get you going: Don't sprint to start off with until you've sorted your thirst and hunger -- you'll survive longer that way Kill as many infected as you can as some will have cans of food and drink on them You'll need something to open the food cans with, so try to loot a knife (or search for stones on gravel paths and combine two to create a stone knife) or loot an axe Most towns will have a well near the police station -- drink until you see a "stomach full" icon pop up, otherwise, you haven't had enough water to drink Don't loot for weapons until you've had enough to eat and drink is the first and foremost rule. British Bob 0 Posted December 21, 2019 Ok thanks mate I dont mind dying if you've ever played dark souls.. its what you do lol, but foe the control section for how to change gun ( glock) from single to auto does not work. It is semi-auto only. The Skorpion, which is chambered in .38 caliber, has the automatic firing rate you desire, and is found commonly at police stations and police cars. Edit: Zombies have recently been nerfed to drop less food and other essentials in the latest update. (IMO, it is a great move for gameplay, but makes it harder to get some decent grub quickly.) For example, I shot down 25-30 zombies a week ago, and was only rewarded with a can of Nota-Cola. It's a roll of the dice!
