RyanS1994 110 Posted December 19, 2019 haha this is tragic the games too hard so you give up, I feel bad for you in real life
Kean__1 144 Posted December 19, 2019 I agree with the OP to an extent. Some things could use better balancing IMO. However, I don't think food is as bad as he makes it out to be. IRL, although you can live without food for 3 weeks according to the rule of 3's, you need food on a consistent basis to remain in a functional state both mentally and physically. Our characters IRL would be burning tons of calories doing the things we do in the game. We simply wouldn't be able to keep this up IRL for very long. It's a hardcore survival game but still a game where the devs have to take liberties with some of the elements to maintain a level of balance and fun. .....sense of survival / challenge, etc. If we were able to last 3 weeks in-game time without food or even several days, how relevant would the whole feeding, food collecting, hunting, cooking mechanics really be? Also, if we're talking"real life", water consumption should be way higher than it is given the amount of traveling, running, etc. that our characters do in the game. That 3 day rule is in a perfect scenario where you are not exposed, not exerting yourself, etc. I will say however that the weapon sway is way overdone now. It should be tied to stamina / exhaustion IMO. A character at rest should still be able to steady their rifle better than this while kneeling or even standing while still breathing. Maybe if it started out like it is but steadied over a few seconds as long as the player doesn't move, I could appreciate it more. Personally, I didn't have a problem with the way it was. EzyStriderPS4 191 Posted January 13, 2020 @Kean__1 Dude, the weapon sway is so over-done in the new update... it's bad. Like, what the hell man? Is my character a 10 year old now?
Kean__1 144 Posted January 14, 2020 Just now, EzyStriderPS4 said: @Kean__1 Dude, the weapon sway is so over-done in the new update... it's bad. Like, what the hell man? Is my character a 10 year old now? Yeah, I know. It's horrible. IMO, it should depend on stamina and / or right after you shoulder the weapon. Let's say you were running, climbing or doing anything to exert yourself and lower your stamina, the weapon sway would be worse but get better shortly as you calm down. ....at least that's how I envision a mechanic like this working. The "holding your breath" thing is fine but that should be for the last bit of accuracy. .....the longer shots where that little bit of sway is more pronounced when using those kinds of optics and it would count. IRL, there's no way weapon sway would be that bad for someone with a little shooting experience and knowledge of how to handle / steady a weapon. .....even when standing. .....or they could just revert it back to the way it was. I never thought it needed changing anyhow.
Luves 12 11 Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) While yes it can be a bit harsh at times i think people may fail to realize that on pretty much all servers the timelime is sped up. I mean even on the ones that mimic official servers your talking 3 hour day 1 hour night and thats a 24 hour day cycle in 4 hours. If you were getting hungry 8x faster on average then normal you would be eating a shit ton (probably the only thing you would have time for in that 4 hours would be to keep eating lol). I suppose im just assuming the speeding up or stretching out of the days affects how much food/water intake you need and how often? Not to mention this is all really no big deal once you get established. Get going get your levels full (over eat stuff for a while) then you would be surprised how long you can run around before it will drop. Even better if you munch a lil something here an there while your levels are full and they will continue to stay that way. Then once you manage this and you feel good about character health and you start finally gaining some resourses....Click click boom the bandits are gonna be on that ass looking to finish hungers job!
