Cruss190 8 Posted November 4, 2019 Hi! I encountered a variation of the "stuck in container/inventory" problem, a large tent in this case. The items got stuck after I replaced some things already in the tent, since I was managing it's inventory, practically everything is stuck now... Am i correct to assume official servers restart each 6 hours? If so, there have been multiple restarts already yet the items are still stuck. I play with my little brother and a friend but they weren't online when I got the items stuck. Now my friend got cholera and the pills are stuck 😞 I've literally tried everything possible to get the things out... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pauperprince 33 Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Playing on a community server, we’ve found that items stuck in a tent. May be stuck to only one player or to all players. In the case that it is stuck to only one player, that player can exit and enter server again. If it is stuck to all players, a server restart should free it. Tips: ensure appropriate space is available if you are holding something in your hand and use x to swap it with an item in a tent/container inventory. The item that swapped from your hands to the tent/container inventory, could become stuck. Till it is fixed, avoid using item swap option. if players have exited/entered server, and server has restarted with item still stuck. Only then, attempt to swap an item from your hand with that item. when placing items into, or removing items from a Tent/container, do not rush it. Allow each transaction to complete with a pause in between. try to combine or stack with an item in your hands for now, only one player at a time, should access a tent/container inventory be sure to use all non swap options: with the item highlighted, hold square to move it to vicinity with the item highlighted, Hold x and drag item to hands, then press square to move to inventory or triangle to equip with the item highlighted, hold x and drag item to your inventory or another container with the item highlighted, press triangle to equip With the item highlighted, press square to move it to inventory Hope this helps you. Kean__1 144 Posted November 5, 2019 I had heard restarts happened once or twice daily but never ran across anything official. I've had issues where things would get stuck and no matter what we did we couldn't get them unstuck. .....but every time on my private server (so far) a restart would fix it. etaab 70 Posted November 5, 2019 It can help. We've dropped items in tents or barrels before and not been able to take them out. Then we return 12 or 24 hours later after a server restart or two, then we're able to take them easily. It's strange, but it does work eventually. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Cruss190 8 Posted November 5, 2019 Yeah I can confirm that on ps4, servers only seem to restart once every 24 hours. I spoke of 6 hours earlier, based on an outdated reddit source for pc.
