ghillie camouflage

today i finally managed to create ghillie suit, some questions as usual :)

1) can ghillie be repaired?

2) is there a ghillie mask? (i can create a hood, a bushrag (purpose? not better suit?), a top (purpose? not better suit?) a complete suit

3) ghillie camouflage is cool at night with the nvg vision, on day it will be better in green color, some say if it became worn after a zombie fight it change color to green, is true? mine still pristine and i farmed a week to do it, i'd like avoid ruining it :)

From what I've seen for the short period I had mine before someone in my group stole it from me (Later kicked them out and moved base) they are able to be repaired but I don't think they actually change color to green. I think you used to be able to spray paint them green when that was still in the game but it's since been removed leaving the Ghili Suit basically that useless bright color As far as I know there is no Ghillie mask, I would recommend wearing one of the Dark Green Ski Mask underneath it and probably the Green Hunting outfit or the Camo Hunting outfit to blend in the best.

damn bastard that who stole it, i know well how much time you have to spend before making it.

if you look on youtube you can see video where ghillie take damage with one bullet shot, become worn condition and change color to green, but all on xbox and on first game version.

sadly the green version suit will be perfect for the forest landscape, hope in the future will make it possible.

Yeah, It was an experience to say the least. I wish they would make it possible again, but first they should really consider fixing these blue screen issues before I lost my mind and just stop playing DayZ.

In my experience, the ghillie is only ever brown on PS4 and cannot currently be spray painted green.

When you take damage, it'll slowly turn more ginger coloured and has less detail in it, so basically you end up running around like a ginger bigfoot if you take too much damage.

When using ghillie avoid zombies and all melee combat to maintain its condition.

the wiki says that full ghillie suit is unreparable, can you confirm? mine is still pristine.

and why they cut off spray from the game?

Yes, once damaged you cannot repair them. They go from brown grass texture, to ginger orange colour.

I'm not sure if you can use a bit of duct tape to repair them, since I haven't damaged mine yet, since 1.05. But before the latest patch you definitely could not.

When in ghillie, just avoid combat, that's you best bet to maintain its condition. The spray paint isn't in the PS4 version yet. We will get it eventually, no doubt.

another interesting question if you have band nvg (on face slot) you can't put on any helmet, but you can wear head ghillie disguise?

Yes you can. It also removes the need for a universal flashlight too, so you don't have to search longer before you get your NV working.

On my main account, I use a full ghillie suit with NV headstreap and it works great. I just have to remember to remove it during the day, otherwise the NV goggles stick up off your head and are visible through the ghillie hood.

some question:

1) which are ghillie bushrag and ghillie top advantage? why i must craft them instead of the full suit?

2) which vest best fit to ghillie? i use assault vest with buttpack (very useful) but i think that hunter jacket color fits better, or there is another interest one?

I've never used the other ghillie items as I read they're pointless and not as good camo. I just craft the suit, hood and rifle wraps and that covers me up very well.

Vest ? I usually go for a black assault / field vest. I usually wear hunters clothing under mine as that's dark camo also. You can find them at hunting lodges on izurvive as a tent symbol.

You cannot repair the ghillie. You use to be able to. Not anymore.

You cannot change the color. You use to by causing it damage. Not anymore.

You cannot craft a mask.

If you're going to rock the suit, it's best to have the assault vest w/ buttpack for extra storage. Or ballistic vest with pouch.
