idea to help make the game longevity last

I really don't know about anyone else but when you get your base and shit all sorted out and have enough ammo and guns for both this apocalypse and the next, it gets a little snooze fest.

 

maybe the Devs could look into having "missions" pop up.  daily or weekly ones which you get say a box of nails for daily and a rare pistol for the weekly ones (something like that)  for the missions it could be collect 5 fx-45's or something similar 

 

just a thought?

One mission the devs should have is to finish the game, they said we would have .

When will people understand that a sandbox game has no missions on purpose? Be creative and come up with objectives for yourself on your own. Having a base and pile of ammo is neither the endgame nor the desire of every single survivor. If you want open world games with randomly generated generic side mission like fetch X amount of Y, go play some of Ubisoft productions. There is no need to play DayZ continuously if you're experiencing a snooze fest. Have a break and come back in several weeks or months even.

A lot of games have random missions that pop up across the map.  Not in-depth story ones, but "go here, kill this, get loot".

Some of my favorite moments in the DayZ mod were doing the random missions.  Either to rush in there, get the loot, and leave..............or camp and wait for people to come.

Both are really fun.  Rush in and get the loot is very tense.  Camping is enjoyable, but you very rarely can get the loot because other people will camp on your camping.....lol

So that's the beauty of modded servers then.  If you don't want any of this mission business, you play on a Vanilla server.  if you do, play on a modded server.

Missions don't belong in the base game -- that's not what DayZ is about.

Well, maybe not quests but some sort of pve progression.

We have no zombies at standalone buildings, we have some in villages and many in towns. That's all combat pve progression.

I suggest stronger/armored zombies at military bases, maybe armed zombies. And some zones should be strong enough to near impossible to raid alone to motivate people to coop.
