ShallowTech 196 Posted August 28, 2019 Is there a good link that explains out the server restarts work in DayZ both official servers and private? I noticed when shutting down our private server to make changes to the config., then bringing it back online that there were still trees cut down, etc. Is there a separate restart or something that happens with the database that has nothing to do with server controls? MetalHead2112 43 Posted August 28, 2019 (edited) This is a good thing, it shows the persistence on your server is working how it should. All items that are lets say, interactable and have a time to live before being deleted. I'm not sure what that time is without looking, for a tree that has been cut down, but if you cut the tree down and then restarted/shutdown the server, the time left on the tree would carry over onto the next restart session until it's time expires.
