System of load zombie - imperfect

I have an idea to the developers to replace a load of zombies.

Is there a problem? The problem is that this system creates a heavy load on the server and clients.

When zombies are loaded - the game is very slow and often makes an error. The client crashes from the server or the server stops.

There is another problem: zombies appear unpredictably and very close. It breaks the gameplay. The player cannot know how many zombies are around him. Sometimes they are created 10 meters away from the player.

If you drive a car, then load zombies creates desynchronization and breaks the car.

Problem solution:

What if to make the overall load of servers with the zombie?

You connect to the server and all zombies are loaded into the server. I understand that this is difficult to do. You can limit the number of zombies, but make them difficult to destroy. Zombies can not move until the player is far away and do not load the server. Zombies can be like loot while you are away.

A solution to the problem?

I want to hear the developers?

to app post: a big plus to the game if all the zombies can be destroyed on the server and their bodies did not disappear. This will add a new meaning to the game - zombie hunter!

add to this that it is possible to unload the server using zombie hunters) and lower error server/client !!!

Are you talking about vanilla zombies? Do you play on PC or console?

I just wanted to be sure you were not talking about my PvZmoD Spawn System.

 

But for the vanilla one, how do you know it is the zombies load than cause the problems? I made a lot of test with vanilla system before developing my own one and it appear that lot of zombies are already load on server start (the static zombies) and the others appear one by one (so they should not impact server performances). Loading all the zombie when server start would impact the performances for sure.

 

"zombies appear unpredictable and very close" => I thought this thing couldn't happen with vanilla system (there is a large "safe zone around players)

 

For the "hunting players by following zeds dead body", the problem is that dead bodies consume resources (less than "alive" body). That's said, even with vanilla system if server admin increase "CleanupLifetimeDeadInfected" in globals.xml you can have this feature but be careful about server performances.
